Shwedagon Pagoda

Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the five most sacred places of Burma. It is a large golden pagoda located on Singuttara Hill in Yangon, Myanmar. The word "Shwe" means gold, and "Dagon" is the original name of Yangon. It is believed to be a great pagoda containing 8 strands of the hair of Lord Buddha. The top of the pagoda, at the crystal ball or dewdrop, is decorated with various ornaments and 5,448 diamonds. The top floor has 2,317 rubies and a large 76-carat diamond to receive the first and last rays of the sun. #Waiting for the day to travel
