A premium Unagi experience at Edotoku

#fallishere This premium Unagi restaurant situated at the Bashamichi district of Yokohama offers a high end and excellent experience for those who fancies this snake like sea creature. Unagi is the Japanese name for fresh water eel, is widely consumed among Japanese. The most common way of savouring Unagi is Una-jyu (Unagi topped rice in lacquerware box) or Hitsuma-bushi, which is a 3-step savouring of 1 set meal. I went for the Hitsuma-bushi set meal, where you eat the one dish in 3 stepa. The first was to eat it the ordinary manner. The second step, you add some spring onions, seaweed and wasabi and mix with ir.And finally, leave behind a small portion, about one quarter the original amount and add in the dashi soup to be eaten as Unagi rice porridge. It is indeed a very enjoyable experience at Edotoku.
