The White Lighthouse at Cape Zanpa

Cape Zanpa is located in Yomitan Village, in the central part of Okinawa's main island, about a 1 hour and 10-minute drive from Naha Airport. The 30-meter-high, 2-kilometer-long cliff is a famous tourist attraction. The untouched natural coastline is also a paradise for local anglers. On clear days, you can see the Kerama Islands from Cape Zanpa. The white lighthouse is an iconic landmark of Cape Zanpa, standing about 31 meters high, equivalent to a 10-story apartment building. The lighthouse at Cape Zanpa is open for visitors, and if you are confident in your physical strength, you can challenge yourself to climb to the top! The beautiful 2-kilometer-long cliff at Cape Zanpa, combined with its location on the western side of Okinawa's main island, makes it a perfect spot to watch the sunset. Cape Zanpa is also a popular spot for wedding photoshoots. On the day I visited, there was already a couple taking their wedding photos.
