I've seen many recommendations to visit Siming Mountain when the weather is warm, but I'd say Siming Mountain offers unique wonders no matter when you go. ❤Reasons to visit: Siming Mountain National Forest Park boasts verdant mountains, clear waters, secluded valleys, unusual rock formations, and magnificent waterfalls. It's a natural oxygen bar. There are two routes to drive up the mountain from Ningbo's urban area: one from Fenghua via Xuedou Mountain, and the other via expressway from Yuyao, passing Siming Lake. Yangtian Lake at the mountaintop is a perfect spot for watching sunrises, sunsets, and seas of clouds. Shenhu Lake and Xiuhu Lake, with their lush greenery and crystal-clear waters, will instantly calm your mind. At night, you can admire a starry sky unseen in the city, and if you're lucky, you might even catch a shooting star. You can also visit Maohuo Ancient Village in Siming Mountain, where there's a scenic walking trail. 📝Tips: The temperature on the mountain is 6–8°C lower than in the urban area, with significant temperature differences between day and night, so dress warmly. Hiking route: I recommend starting from Shenxiu Valley, following the trail to Yangtian Lake, and then returning. The scenery along the way is beautiful, making it suitable for families with children. If you're staying at the Forest Resort, you don't need to buy park tickets. 🏨Hotel environment: Siming Mountain Villa Forest Resort offers accommodation within the forest park, but it's quite old, and the rooms have a musty smell. There are also many farm stays nearby, where you can enjoy comfortable accommodation and experience local rural life. 📆Itinerary: A two-day, one-night trip is recommended.
