I went to the Matterhorn Museum in Zermatt, Switzerland. I had a Swiss Travel Pass so I was able to enter for free! The museum has a lot to offer, from exhibits that let you experience Zermatt's old scenery to a video of the first ascent of the Matterhorn. It's an 8-minute walk from Zermatt Station, so it's easy to get to and there are pamphlets in Japanese, so I recommend it.
