While everyone else is heading to Harbin, I took a different path and chose Huapiling in Chongli, Hebei. Here, the Nordic forest and Finnish fairy tales intertwine in a dreamy and romantic way. ❄️✨ The cold wind is as sharp as a knife in the icy world. However, the beauty here is breathtaking! But remember, if you are not fully prepared, do not set foot here lightly, the cold is no joke, it will really make you shiver. Although I have been here many times and have witnessed many people getting frostbite, I have also come up with a complete set of cold-resistant tips. 🚩❄️🧊 🎿 Before you set off, be sure to keep a close eye on the weather! If it is sunny, the normal three-layer dressing method is enough to cope. But if you encounter snow and strong winds, my dressing tips must be remembered. Especially when the wind is howling, there are many wind tunnels here, and the temperature can instantly drop to -25°C. 🌪️❄️☁️ Keeping your head warm is crucial: a balaclava with a thin neck gaiter and a thick neck gaiter, plus snow goggles and anti-freeze patches, are all essential. Snow goggles must be worn, and no skin should be exposed, otherwise, frostbite is not an exaggeration. 🧢🥽❄️ The upper body needs to be protected layer by layer: a quick-drying base layer with a thin fleece, then a down jacket and a hard-shell jacket, and the drawstring of the jacket must be tightened. If you have a snow suit, wear it, as it will be more effective in keeping you warm and waterproof. 👚🧥☃️ The lower body should not be ignored: quick-drying base layer with fleece pants, and thick fleece pants or ski pants, warm and flexible. 👖🧣🏂 Hand protection is also important: wear thin gloves first, then thick gloves, and finger gloves are useless here. 🧤🧤❄️ Feet need to be carefully protected: high-top waterproof shoes with two pairs of socks, plus snow gaiters, to keep out the cold. 👢🧦☃️ The phone must be placed in a warm inner pocket, and the camera battery compartment should also be covered with a warm baby to ensure the equipment works properly. 📱📷🔥 There are many things to keep in mind during the trip. If your private car has not been replaced with snow tires, do not drive up the mountain.
