🚗 So close and so beautiful! Weekend trip to Hebei~ This time visiting Huapiling in Hebei❄️ taking mom to see the snow~ - For this trip 🚌 we still chose to join a group tour~ Meeting at Beitucheng 🚇 to depart together. Honestly, the journey is really far ⌛️ About 7 hours round trip‼️‼️‼️ - Total 8km｜300m ascent Coming down was super fun‼️ Very suitable for beginners~ My mom said it’s not tiring! - 🛣️ Road conditions 1️⃣st section The road is cement, surrounded by white birch forests on both sides (see p2.4.5.10) 2️⃣nd section Start climbing, continuous small slopes with trees on both sides as well (see 3.6.7) ⚠️ If there is snow, be careful of slipping‼️ 3️⃣rd section At the mountain top ⛰️ there is a very small pavilion ⚠️ The wind is incredibly strong‼️ Taking photos is still very beautiful (see 8.9.11.12) 4️⃣th section Downhill‼️ The best spot to have fun during snow season👍 (see p14) I came down snowboarding 🏂 and it was really fun (This account will post snowboarding videos and follow-up vlogs) ⚠️ Be extremely careful, it’s very slippery⚠️ Stay safe‼️ 5️⃣th section (see p13) At the start of this section, you will see a row of 🌈 colorful small houses‼️ If it’s windy 🌬️ that day, walk quickly‼️ This is a large open area with really strong, strong, strong, strong wind‼️ - 🧾 Gear list 👔 Quick-dry + vest + fleece + hard-shell jacket (Spare down jacket just in case, I didn’t use it but better to have) 👖 Quick-dry + fleece + hard-shell pants (If snowboarding, better wear hard-shell! Be careful not to tear your pants haha) 👟 My aunt gave me Arc'teryx 🐦 (It’s a very old model but really anti-slip!) 👇 Other wearables 🧢 Hat (preferably covering ears) 😷 Mask (face gets really cold 🥶) 🧤 Gloves (waterproof ones!) 🩼 Trekking poles (helpful for going downhill) Crampons (must bring! I didn’t bring them and my mom had a really hard time going down) - Notes: ⭐️ Bring a bottle of hot water 🔥 Drinking some when cold helps relieve it ⭐️ Food 🥘 I ate on the car 🚗 on the way here. It’s too cold to stop and eat during the trip ⭐️ Bring a power bank! Cold weather drains electronic devices quickly 🪫 -
