Zhengding Ancient City

As a county under Shijiazhuang City, it is only a 3-hour drive from Beijing, so it is very convenient to drive here. This time I came to Zhengding for the 25th Lantern Festival. Let’s talk about my experience: 1. About the Lantern Festival: I guess Zhengding itself didn't expect to be "overwhelmed" by the enthusiasm of people from all over the country. There was an obvious "capacity" shortage. The queue for admission to the Lantern Festival was very scattered. People started queuing for admission before 6 o'clock. After many twists and turns, they arrived at the security check. There was no bag scanner, so tourists were asked to open their bags and check them by themselves, which was very time-consuming. After passing the security check, they found that the long journey was only halfway through. In the end, they queued for an hour and a half before they were admitted. The enthusiasm for watching the lantern festival had basically dissipated in the cold wind. Many tourists did not have the patience to leave the queue halfway. It felt that the organizer underestimated its popularity and lacked experience in undertaking large-scale events. In short, the lanterns were good, but the mood was indeed gone.
