One-Day Tour of Zhenyuan Ancient Town, Guizhou Province

💖💜💙I arrived at Zhenyuan Ancient Town around 3 PM in 2024. The August weather was scorching, but the evenings were incredibly pleasant. Located in Zhenyuan County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, the ancient town boasts a history of over two thousand years. A worthy national 5A-level tourist attraction, its scenery is picturesque and stunning. Zhenyuan Ancient Town is grand and magnificent, and I personally find it even more captivating than Qingyan Ancient Town. 🌅Tour Route🌅 Cross the new bridge over the Wuyang River to the north bank, where you'll find the main street of the ancient town. Return via Zhusheng Bridge to the south bank, and you've covered the entire scenic area. The north bank features ancient streets and alleys like Chongzikou Alley, Renshou Alley, Fuxing Alley, and Sifangjing Alley. Within these alleys, you'll discover old residences such as the Quan Family Courtyard and the Fu Family Courtyard, as well as specialty food shops like Yuan Family Tofu and Yao Family Douhua. 🌉Attraction Introduction🌉 Quan Family Courtyard Located in Fuxing Alley, this quaint courtyard combines the styles of a Jiangnan garden and a stilt house. It's open to the public free of charge. Fu Family Courtyard The only courtyard in the city that has been passed down through generations without renovation, preserving its original structure since its construction. It houses precious treasures of the ancient town. Sifangjing Well One of the famous ancient wells from the Qianlong period, located in Sifangjing Alley. After exploring the old residences in the alleys, as dusk settles in, the sunset by the river and the evening lights are particularly enchanting. 🍸Special Activities🍸 Resident singers in nightclubs create a lively atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a drink. For a romantic experience, take a boat ride; tickets are available on-site. 🍝Food Recommendations🍝 Yao Family Douhua is a secluded and charming small restaurant. Despite the steady flow of customers, it doesn't feel crowded. The tables and chairs are antique and elegant, and the place is clean and tidy. The staff is welcoming and polite. The red bean douhua has just the right sweetness and is refreshingly cool. The rice tofu is spicy, savory, and flavorful. The tofu balls are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served hot and fresh from the pot—delicious! ❤️💚💛
