⛱️Must-Visit Spots: 1. First Ray of Sunrise Spot: We woke up at 4:45 AM, quickly brushed our teeth, washed our faces, and headed to the spot where the first ray of sunlight hits. By 5:05 AM, it was already crowded. After waiting just three to four minutes, we could start watching the sunrise. The beauty of the sunrise is something you must experience in person to truly appreciate its magnificence! 2. Island Loop Trail: It takes about four to five hours to complete, with beautiful scenery along the way. Take photos as you go. There are signposts to follow: Dashuwan Stone House Village → Meteorite Waterfall → Elephant Trunk Peak → "Fortune Like the East Sea" Stone. 🍜Food Guide: 1. Tata Izakaya (244 yuan): 6 garlic oysters, a plate of boiled shrimp, a bowl of seafood udon noodles, and a plate of taro vegetables: The seafood was very fresh with generous portions. We were stuffed after the meal. Highly recommended with decent value for money. 2. Seaside Snacks (68 yuan): Seafood stir-fried rice cakes, seafood noodles, coconut juice: I especially recommend the seafood stir-fried rice cakes with shrimp, clams, fish balls, and rice cakes all stir-fried together. Very fresh with perfect saltiness, and the rice cakes were nice and chewy. The seafood noodle soup was a bit salty with the same ingredients, but the noodles were slightly overcooked. 3. A-Xing Milk Tea (22 yuan): Jasmine milk green tea (2 cups): Nothing special, but refreshing. Nice to have a cup when it's hot. Average value for money. 🏨Accommodation Guide: The island has only guesthouses, priced between 750-1300 yuan. We stayed at Dongji Dongfushan Yi Island Guesthouse. When you arrive at the pier, guesthouse staff will hold signs—just follow them. Perhaps because it was busy during the May Day holiday, our room wasn't cleaned when we returned at 8 PM, despite having booked for two nights. We had to call to get toiletries delivered. At night, the strong wind made howling sounds, and the doors and windows creaked, affecting our sleep. Early in the morning (around 7 AM), we could clearly hear people arguing nearby, so we couldn't get back to sleep after returning from watching the sunrise. 🚄Transportation Guide: Recommended to drive yourself. From Shanghai, it's a 4-5 hour drive to Banshengdong Pier, then take a boat (buy tickets online for 130-150 yuan) to Miaozi Lake, then buy another ticket (30 yuan) to Dongfushan Island. If taking high-speed rail to Ningbo Station, a taxi to Banshengdong Pier costs 50-60 yuan, then take a boat (online tickets 130-150 yuan) to Miaozi Lake, and buy tickets on the boat (30 yuan) to Dongfushan Island. Check schedules online. During the May Day holiday, morning boats depart at 8 AM and 10 AM, and afternoon boats at 1:10 PM, 2:20 PM, and 3:50 PM. 💗Other Tips: 1. Sunscreen is a must—apply it all over your body. The sun is extremely strong!!! 2. Mosquito repellent is essential for sunrise viewing and hiking the island loop. For hiking, long pants are recommended to avoid multiple mosquito bites. 3. Temperature varies greatly between morning/evening and midday. Wear short sleeves during the day and bring a long-sleeved layer for mornings and evenings. 4. Bring cash—the boat ticket from Miaozi Lake to Dongfushan Island requires cash payment.
