The Sanxingdui & Jinsha Special Exhibition at the Hengqin Cultural and Arts Center in Zhuhai is truly a stunning display of the "black technology" of ancient Shu civilization's bronze artifacts! These 3,000-year-old bronze heads and masks look like something from an alien civilization, a detail enthusiast's dream! 1️⃣ Bronze Heads: A Mysterious Crew with "Aloof" Faces! Rows of bronze heads "stare" at you in the exhibition hall, each with a high nose, deep-set eyes, and protruding ears, as if saying, "Mortal, you've finally arrived!" The most extraordinary piece is the "Bronze Head with Hairpin," exhibited for the first time. The details of the hair bun are incredibly intricate, even the hairpin insertion holes are clearly visible. You'll feel like you could style your hair in the same ancient Shu fashion in a second! There's also a head with "backward-swept wings," resembling a sci-fi helmet. The ancient Shu people were truly ahead of their time! 2️⃣ Bronze Masks: Who Possesses True Clairvoyance and Clairaudience? The star of the bronze masks is undoubtedly the "Bronze Vertical-Eyed Mask"! Its bulging eyes resemble telescopes, and its ears are large enough to catch the wind. It is said to be the embodiment of the ancient Shu king, "Cancong" (as documented in the *Chronicles of the Shu Kings*!). The exhibition platform is raised to a height of 1 meter, and when you look up at it, the starry sky projection behind it immediately conjures up images of "ancient Shu people observing celestial phenomena," giving you goosebumps! 3️⃣ Gold Masks: "Bling" + Divine Craftsmanship, Dazzling! The most extravagant piece in the entire exhibition is the "Gold Mask." It's as thin as 0.02 millimeters, yet it's hammered into three-dimensional facial features, with hollowed-out eyes and mouth, and a slender, sophisticated jawline! In particular, the "giant" gold mask unearthed from Pit No. 5 (weighing 280 grams!), is twice the size of the regular ones. Whoever wore it must have been a top figure in ancient Shu society! It's said that these gold pieces were originally attached to bronze heads.
