Just returned from Chenzhou, here are some travel tips for you

Hey girls! I just got back from a trip to Chenzhou, and thanks to my local friend, I avoided many tourist traps. Now I'm sharing my experience with those who haven't visited yet, hoping you'll all have a perfect journey. Preparation Tips Chenzhou's attractions are quite scattered. To avoid being overcharged, consider renting a car if possible. Also, don't forget an umbrella - you might experience both scorching sun and heavy rain in the same day here. I had to skip Yangtianhu Grassland due to weather. Below is my 2-day, 1-night itinerary suitable for students and working professionals. 🗺️ 2-Day 1-Night Itinerary Saturday Start from Chenzhou West Station, visit 711 Time Town to experience nostalgia, then head to Mahuang Ridge or GaoYi Ridge for unique Danxia landforms. After that, take a bamboo raft at Longwei Ping, and stay overnight near Dongjiang Lake. Sunday Visit Dongjiang Lake, then experience "Chenzhou's Little Erhai" at Bailang. Stroll through Changjuan Cultural Tourism Block, explore the Phoenix Ancient Town-style Yuhou Street, and finally return from Chenzhou West Station. 🏠 Accommodation Recommendation To catch the famous morning fog over Dongjiang Lake, I stayed at "Ergeng Daizhu Homestay" nearby - just 5 minutes from the scenic area with over a dozen unique room types. I chose the constant-temperature outdoor pool room where I could see the magical fog-covered river right from my window 💫. There's a decent restaurant called "Xiaozi Wei" nearby. ⛰️ Attraction Highlights Fog-covered Dongjiang Lake Best viewing time in summer: 6:30-8:30 AM. The fisherman's net-casting scene makes it all worthwhile! Go directly to Platform 1 for net-casting and Yao song performances, then walk to Floating Bridge 2 before taking a shuttle to Longjing Canyon's waterfalls. Ticket: ¥80/person (Route 1 requires advance booking, bring ID). Mahuang Ridge Grand Canyon Photogenic spot and completely free! Similar Danxia landform to GaoYi Ridge with easier climbing. Watch for traffic when taking photos. GaoYi Ridge Enter from South Gate for impressive rock formations (great for photos), but requires strenuous hiking - not ideal for tight schedules. Ticket: ¥95/person (purchase 30 mins in advance, valid for 7 days). 711 Time Town Step back in time here. Don't miss the free 711 Museum to understand this historical period. Longwei Ping Bamboo Rafting Smooth 40-minute ride through misty waters - perfect for photos. Currently only bamboo rafting available. ¥20/person, plus ¥20/raft for boatman. Bailang "Chenzhou's Little Erhai" - rent a bike to enjoy lakeside breezes. Changjuan Cultural Tourism Block Republic-era style commercial street with an amusement park across the street - great for families. Yuhou Street Chenzhou's version of Phoenix Ancient Town. Perfect for evening strolls, dining, or coffee before heading home.
