A great weekend destination is Bajiaozhai in Guilin, known for its Danxia landform

Bajiaozhai in Guilin's Ziyuan County offers a view that makes all other mountains seem small in comparison~ Climbing from 9 am to 11:30 am, it takes two and a half hours to reach the highest peak by climbing the mountain at a different scenic area entrance. There is a slide halfway up the mountain that costs 38 yuan per person. Descending takes about fifty minutes, and it's so strenuous that your legs will tremble. Supplies: There are vendors selling water and instant noodles among other foods at the mountain top. PS: There is a cable car on the Hunan side for ascending the mountain. It takes one hour from Ziyuan County to Bajiaozhai by expressway. Since it's located at the border between Guangxi and Hunan, be careful not to go in the wrong direction when descending the mountain—one way leads to Guangxi and the other to Hunan. Don't make a mistake, haha.
