Penglai Waterfall, a place that feels like a fairyland.
Location: No. 66, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County
Introduction: Penglai Waterfall is located on the eastern side of the Zhugao River Valley in Caoling Village, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. It belongs to the Zhuoshui River basin and is situated at an elevation of approximately 920 meters to 850 meters, with a height difference of about 70 meters. It is one of the ten scenic spots of Caoling and is considered the "Number One Scenic Spot of Caoling." During summer, the waterfall's water volume is abundant, with a flow width of up to 5-6 meters, creating a majestic sight. However, in winter, the water volume decreases, and from a distance, it resembles a bamboo pole used for drying clothes, hence the nickname "Zhugao Water." Additionally, when the sun sets, sunlight refracts through the waterfall, creating a rainbow of seven colors that hangs above the cliff. The waterfall's broad cliff face becomes even more spectacular after heavy rain, as a second stream of water flows down the right side of the cliff, adding to its grandeur.
