I'm coloring 90% of the domestic map, and I finally went to Gyeryong, the only place in Chungcheong Province that I haven't been to. It's a place called Ipam Reservoir, which is a good driving course near Daejeon. The metasequoia-lined road is beautiful, and there's a barbecue place that feels like a glamping site, so there were a lot of people who came out for a family outing during the Lunar New Year holiday. #aprilblooms Seongbukdong Forest Bathing Area is located a little outside of Daejeon, about a 10-minute drive past Bangdong Reservoir, nestled at the foot of Gyeryong Mountain. There's a spacious parking lot at the entrance, making it convenient to visit by car. At the entrance, I noticed a forest library operated by the forest bathing area. However, a notice indicated that the contract employee for this year had their contract expired, and it wouldn't be operating until a new employee is hired next year. Why the hiring is being delayed until next year is unclear. The forest bathing area itself isn't very large. My initial plan for the day included hiking up to Baegunbong Peak in Gyeryong Mountain. The uphill trail began here. Shortly after starting, I encountered a fork in the path. Naturally, I took the direction towards Baegunbong. There was hardly anyone around, and it didn't seem like a frequently traveled hiking trail. The slope was quite steep, but I was able to ascend without too much difficulty. The vibrant green leaves of the forest were beautiful and made me feel good as I climbed. However, soon enough, swarms of gnats started to bother me. They persistently followed me, and despite waving a towel and trying to brush them off, it was a constant struggle. Ultimately, the gnats became too overwhelming, and since it was an unfamiliar path, I decided to turn back after reaching the ridge where the path to Baegunbong branched off. The descent was also plagued by the annoying gnats. Back down near the parking lot at the entrance of the forest bathing area, I decided to walk along the forest road (임도) instead. I regretted not having chosen this option from the beginning. The forest path was pleasant, and there were shaded resting spots where I could take a break. Best of all, there were no gnats! During my walk along the forest road, I even took off my mask and fully enjoyed the forest scent and fresh air before heading back. Furthermore, near the Seongbukdong Forest Bathing Area, I discovered the National Daejeon Forest Welfare Center (국립대전숲체원), operated by the Korea Forest Welfare Institute. It was my first time there, and I was surprised to find well-maintained parks, rest areas, experience facilities, accommodations, and hiking trails. I simply looked around today without any prior information, but I hope to experience the various facilities there on another visit. Overall Thoughts Seongbukdong Forest Bathing Area offers good accessibility with its parking facilities. However, my experience was somewhat marred by the unexpected nuisance of gnats on the hiking trail. On the other hand, the forest road provided a peaceful and enjoyable walk without the insects. The discovery of the nearby National Daejeon Forest Welfare Center with its diverse offerings was a pleasant surprise and makes me consider a return visit to explore it further. For those considering a visit, a leisurely walk along the forest road or a combined trip with the Forest

The cherry blossoms have already bloomed at Shinwonsa Temple, which grants everyone's wishes. It is famous as the place where Queen Seondeok prayed. Come and take a walk on a warm spring day~

Gyemyeong Restaurant sells both set meals and single items, so there are many options. If you drink grilled deodeok, acorn jelly, and deodeokdongdongju, you will feel like you are hiking. Since it is at the foot of the mountain, you can come here just to eat at a good restaurant, or you can hike and come back. There are step tables where you can sit down, so it's good for visiting in a group! There are large windows, so you can heal while looking at the view.

I got on the subway at Daejeon Station, took the Daejeon city bus at Hyeonchungwon Station, and got off at the Donghaksa District of Gyeryongsan National Park... The valley after summer was covered with fresh green, and the early autumn scenery of the mountain temple was beautiful and beautiful.. It took an hour or two to walk back from Sutonggol to Donghaksa and back to Mitaam, Gwaneumam, and Munsuim. I soaked my feet in the stream overflowing in the valley... I felt like I had become a god, and it was so enjoyable.. Since there is no entrance fee to the national park, I could comfortably enjoy the fresh green and go down.. Autumn trekking... #Emotional Accommodation [Gyeryongsan Dream Pension] Location: 91 Gumodong-gil, Banpo-myeon, Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do If you take the bus, take bus no. 107 from Daejeon Station and get off at Park Jeong-ja Intersection. Walk for about 10 minutes to get to the accommodation! The advantages of this pension are the beautiful view of Gyeryongsan and the valley with clear water around it. Above all, there is a private swimming pool and various tube water guns, so I was really satisfied and had fun!! There is also a private barbecue area, so I enjoyed swimming and eating. You can also rent board games, so I had fun all night ㅎㅎ

It seems to be a pretty famous restaurant in Gyeryong🔥 It was my first time going to Gyeryong, and I chose this restaurant after careful consideration, but it didn't seem to have been open for long! The interior was clean and there were a lot of traces of care, so the food tasted good, but it was also comfortable, so I think it was even better😉 The budaejjigae itself was delicious, but it went perfectly with rice with a fried egg on top! As we have visited nearby cities, we passed by this place and caught the attention of our Family to visit this amazing and dynamic place. Here, the display Military expo mesmerized the kids as it was there First time to experce, touched and saw those huge Military equipments which they haven't seen before and the same I was. Once a year they Have this kind of Festival showcasing Military drills and activities. There are lots of things to do once you visit this place during Festival. As what they have said, kids and visitors can experience riding, taking photos and some field activities prepared for the Visitors. kinda interesting for those who are fond of Military equipments and goods. must try and visit this place 🥰

In Gyeryong City, various experience programs are being held in conjunction with local cafes, bakeries, etc. !! This time, I participated in the liquor making experience And I finally opened the aged liquor a while ago.. The taste is just amazing.. I heard there is a Korean liquor culture research center in Gyeryong I'm seriously thinking about joining.... #City travel ##

The 2022 Gyeryong-gun Cultural Expo held in October.. It was so full of things to see and the scale was unprecedented, I went for 3 days out of the 15-day festival period!! #HotPlace It was such a fun experience to meet actor Jang Ki-yong, a celebrity soldier, and idols. Black Eagles' aerial performance!! I'll go again in 2023!!
