#thailandtrip I had a great time during my trip to Hatyai! For breakfast, I went to Ah Ma Dimsum, where there were many choices of dim sum, and everything was super cheap. Later, I visited After You for dessert, a famous place in Thailand. I tried their Mango Sticky Rice Bingsu, and it was really tasty and had a unique flavor. For lunch, I went to 2 Pee Nong, where I had their famous duck egg tom yum noodle. The pork ribs were cooked so well that they melted in my mouth. In the evening, I visited Khlong Hae Floating Market, which only opens on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The market had boats selling delicious food and interesting souvenirs. Realm Songkhla restaurant is pretty unique… you will find 4 little subsidiary cafes/ restaurant inside as well as the Earth Florist selling flowers and a corner selling beautiful local crafts… The Realm Cafe on the first floor sells pastries and coffee while the Sompon Restaurant on the 2nd floor serves up a hearty interesting dinner menu… then for those who just want to chill, NORA Bar separated from Sompon Restaurant by a curtain comes with great cocktails and liquor or alternately you could also choose to drink or dine at Aqua Roof on the 3rd floor’s rooftop…. Every corner offered culinary treasures—crispy *roti* drizzled with condensed milk, fiery *tom yum* soup, and succulent grilled seafood—all at prices that felt almost too generous. Hat Yai’s compact layout was a traveler’s dream. Temples, shopping districts, and cafes nestled closely, easily navigated by foot or short rides. Even at night, the streets felt safe, lit by neon signs and the laughter of families sharing meals. I strolled past夜市 (night markets) brimming with handicrafts and street performers, absorbing the vibrant yet unhurried ambiance. What struck me most was the city’s harmony. Modern shops coexisted with old-school stalls; youthful energy blended with tradition. Public transport was refreshingly simple—no haggling or confusion, just friendly drivers eager to assist. As I left, I realized Hat Yai had offered more than a getaway—it gifted me a glimpse of Thailand’s heart. Affordable, welcoming, and effortlessly charming, it’s a place where joy lingers in street food aromas, strangers’ kindness, and the freedom to explore without a map. The fresh hot milk with toasted bread with Kaya will melt in your mouth that too sitting by the road side. There is also grilled items like fishball, crab stick, hotdog and Wan ton eating with their spicy chilli sauce that will bring the zest out. Did I mention that it's super super cheap. Worth your while to try. The whole experience is unique that you should try whenever u stop by.
