Unseen Blue Cave, Mae Sot District, Tak Province.
Passing through Mae Sot District, you must not miss the Blue Cave, located within the Phutthakaya Blue Cave Monastery, Moo 6, Mae Ku Subdistrict, Mae Sot District, Tak Province, about 30 kilometers from Mae Sot District. The highlight of this cave is the blue walls with beautiful streaks, formed by the accumulation of calcite minerals on the cave walls. The cave is about 100 meters deep, making it easy to explore.
At the front hall of the cave, there is a reclining Buddha statue in Myanmar art style for worship before entering. Inside the cave, there are some illuminated spots, but it is recommended to bring a flashlight for convenience in exploring and taking photos.
To get there from Mae Sot town, take Highway No. 1090 towards Phop Phra District. When you reach Maha Wan Subdistrict, about 500 meters near Thararaks Waterfall, there will be a sign indicating the entrance to the Blue Cave. Turn left and drive for another 5.8 kilometers to reach the destination. There is no public transportation available here, so it is advisable to use a private vehicle.
The Blue Cave is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no entrance fee. You can visit all year round. It is recommended to help maintain cleanliness and not to write on the cave walls to preserve its beauty. Anyone visiting Mae Sot District should not miss this place.

The hot springs have a temperature of up to 75 degrees Celsius. Inside the hot spring area, there are both mineral baths and baths, which are available without any pungent smell from sulfur gas. Inside Maekasa Hot Spring, there are many activities for us to do, such as boiling eggs in the hot spring, which takes about 20 minutes to boil, and you will get beautiful onsen eggs to eat.

Natural wonders, Blue Cave
#Natural attractions
The most unseen natural attractions that I would like to recommend everyone to get to know is the Blue Cave, located in Mae Sot District, Tak Province.
📍It is a cave with eroded rocks in various shapes, showing patterns that have been deposited for a long time. When you shine a flashlight on it, you will see it in blue, just like the name of the cave.
📍The highlight that you should not miss is the Elephant Trunk Rock, where you can clearly see the elephant's trunk.
📍When visiting, it is recommended to bring a flashlight for a more enjoyable viewing and photography experience.

Feeding Fish at the Waterfall Park
The weather is quite nice today. I didn't know where to go this afternoon, so I came to the park to feed the fish. I had been here once before, but I didn't have any fish food, so I couldn't feed the fish, which was a bit disappointing. This time, I came prepared with a big bag of fish food to give them a good meal. The fish here are not afraid of people at all. As soon as you get close, they swarm around and fight for food. It's quite fun.

Thailand's Buddha Festival
I've been to Thailand many times and visited many temples, but I've never really participated in temple activities during the Buddha Festival. This time, I had the opportunity to visit a local temple in Tak Province, Thailand, and join the Buddha Festival activities. I bought a bouquet of fresh flowers for 20 baht at the temple entrance, and there were also options to donate for making candles and other offerings. I then took a seat and joined the Thai people in the activities. It was quite interesting to experience authentic Thai culture. The event wasn't all about spending money; there were many free food and bottled water provided, which surprised me. It wasn't just a commercial event but a cultural one, with both paid and free options available. Everything was very relaxed and very Thai. It felt very interesting, even though I couldn't understand the chanting, but the important thing was to participate!

Exploring Wat Mae Tao in Mae Sot
It's not just Chiang Rai that has a White Temple. Mae Sot in Tak Province also has a White Temple, and the best part is that it's usually empty, allowing you to enjoy the entire temple by yourself. When I visited in August, it was still under construction, but most of it was already completed. There's no entrance fee, and you can choose to donate as you wish. This is the proper way to experience a temple—peaceful and serene. The dogs in the temple are very friendly and cute. There's also a small park nearby where you can take a walk and feed the fish. Fish food costs 20 THB per pack. The water is very clean, and the fish are lively and quite large!

Mae Tao Temple, a beautiful white chapel with Buddhist art
Unseen Tak Province📍Mae Tao Temple, Mae Sot District, Tak Province
🙏🏻🪷A prominent white temple located in the middle of Mae Tao Village. This temple is one that many people may not know about because it has just built a new white chapel.
The enchanting beauty and charm of the white pagoda with its exquisite and delicate beauty remind us of the Thai identity and the meticulousness of the creator. This is due to the faith of the people of Mae Sot District who have joined together to make merit to build this beautiful chapel.
And don't miss out on paying homage to the Naga Prok Buddha before entering the chapel. The beauty inside the chapel makes you feel like you've completely disappeared into another world. We invite everyone who visits Tak Province to join in making merit, paying homage, and helping build the temple. See Buddhist art, take pictures, and pay homage to the replica of Phra Phuttha Metta for good fortune.
Admission fee: You can visit every day without admission fee. We invite all brothers and sisters who visit to join in making merit to build this chapel to be beautiful.

Japanese cafe in Mae Sot
Kyoto Shi Cafe キョウトシ カフェMae Sot
In Mae Sot, Tak Province, on the Thai-Burmese border, I didn't think there would be a cafe decorated in a cute Japanese style. The shop is currently decorated in a Halloween theme.
It is a cafe with a wide selection of drinks that taste good. There is also soft-serve ice cream and Japanese-style donuts. Next to it is a ramen shop, decorated so much that you'd think you were in Japan.
The shop is located on the main road, near Mae Sot Airport. It's very easy to get to. Anyone who comes to Mae Sot, come and try it.

Rim Mae Fish Maw Restaurant
🛴 Ran came to eat in Mae Sot District. The name of the restaurant is Rim Mae Fish Maw. It is a restaurant near Rim Mae Market. When you are tired of walking around Rim Mae Market, walk out of the market, along the same road for less than 200 meters, you will find a cozy restaurant. It is a wooden house. ⭐ The interior of the shop is decorated with wood. There are big trees inside the shop, giving a cool atmosphere of the trees. In addition to the highlight of the shop with fish maw menu, there is also a tangled fish menu that the shop presents as a fish that is only found in the waters of Burma. There is also a mushroom menu that is offered in season. When you are full, you can get up and walk around to see the jewelry in the jewelry sales area in the shop.

Mae Sot
Like many border post towns, Mae Sot is a place of ethnic diversity and cultural fusion.
It is the Easternmost point of Thailand and the gateway to the land of Myanmar (Burma). For many years, the town has been a base for Burmese refugees and displaced migrant workers coming to Thailand to earn a living. Because of this, the town has often been nicknamed ‘Little Burma’.
Over the past 20 years of turbulent history in Myanmar, many different ethnic minorities had suffered suppression from the Burmese government. The suppression and violence created a huge refugee situation in Thailand as people fled across the border in search of safety and a better life.
It has been estimated that there are still up to 200,000 Burmese scraping a living in Mae Sot today. Even though the refugees have been living in Thailand for many years, there is still a struggle against the Thai government for them to be allowed full Thai citizenship. To this day, Thailand does not recognise the concept of refugee status.
Walking around the streets and markets, you will notice a mix of Burmese ethnicities (of which there are said to be around 135) giving you the sense of the complexity of Burmese national identity. Some of the women wear Thanaka bark on their cheeks and the men wear the traditional Burmese longyi (wrap around skirt.).
Due to the large populations of refugees, the town has also been a base for foreign NGOs who work in many different areas; from healthcare and education.

Visit Huai Plakong, cruise along the Mae Sai River
Huai Pla Kong is located in Mae Ramat District, Tak Province. Som and her friends went with only one backpack each, just going for the road. It took quite a while to get there. We stayed at a homestay in Ban Hong, which was about 25 km from Ban Huai Pla Kong. We got to eat and sleep like the locals here. The highlight of Huai Pla Kong is a boat trip to see nature and the local lifestyles on both the Thai and Burmese sides. There is a small bridge connecting the two countries. After the boat trip, Som and her friends sat down to enjoy the view. You can see fish in the water here.
*Our rough journey started with a train ride, getting off at Phitsanulok Station. Then, we took a bus to Tak for another 2 hours, and then a car to Mae Sot for another 1.30 am, and then on to Mae Ramat shortly after. But if you come by private car, from Bangkok, head to Ayutthaya > Ang Thong > Sing Buri > Uthai Thani > Nakhon Sawan > Kamphaeng Phet > Tak. From Tak District, enter Mae Sot District, head to Mae Sariang District, Mae Hong Son Province. When you enter Mae Ramat District, Tak Province > After passing Mae Ramat Town, turn left into Ban Huai Pla Kong, approximately 9 km. It is located in Khane Chi Subdistrict. #campingglamping #missingnature #secretcoordinates #northernIsanteam #accommodationwithmilliondollarviews #homestayworthvisiting #naturetherapy #campinglovers #missingforests #placestovisitnearBangkok

Secret cafe on a hill with a 360-degree view in Mae Sot
Address - Rocha cafe is located between Phop Phra-Umphang Road, km. 34. There will be a sign on the side of the road. Turn in for another 500 meters.
Atmosphere/Location - Go to Mae Sot, finish work and stay on Saturday and Sunday. The local took me to a cafe on the hill, located alone. The atmosphere has a 360-degree view. It is very natural. When driving, you will see the shop on the hill. Loft style, lots of photo spots and coffee menu. But I like the cake here. The taste is smooth and Kiwi Soda is very good. The weather is cool and comfortable all day long. The shop does not have air conditioning, but it is cool and not hot.
Highlights - The barn is a cafe on the hill in the middle of nature. It is quiet.
Average price per person - 70-100 Score - 10/10
