I went there this October. It takes just over an hour to get there from Nanning, so you can also go there for a day trip on the weekend. The villagers are well-organized. There are sheds by the stream that you can rent for CNY 30, which includes a table and six chairs. If you want a good spot, you should book early. You can also set up a canopy and have a picnic or camp on the stream, in the water, or on the lawn. Please pay attention to environmental hygiene. Ganguadong Cave is made up of many small pools with different heights and depths. Some of the pools are quite deep, and many people dive there. If you are taking children, it is better to play on the side. The water was a bit cold when I went there in October, but it was fine to play in the sun. It might be more fun to go there in July or August when the water is higher. Although the stones there have moss, they are not slippery. It is best to wear shoes, as the stones are uncomfortable to walk on. There is a cave in the middle of the mountain. You can also play in the water after passing through the cave, but there are fewer people there. The surrounding area is full of green trees, and the scenery is beautiful. Only when I got closer did I realize that this building, built on the cliff halfway up the mountain, was the magnificent Lingyang Temple. On the cliff, the two large characters 'Buddha Heart' are vigorous and powerful. Lingyang Temple is different from other temples. Apart from being built on the steep cliff halfway up the mountain, the most attractive feature is that it is a large-scale lava cave temple. The main hall of the temple is set in a cave on Qiandeng Mountain, which is said to be the largest lava cave temple in Guangxi.
