Wat Srikarang, Nakhon Nayok, is located on a hill next to Ka Ang Waterfall. The prominent feature of the temple that can be seen from afar is the large white and gold Buddha statue situated on the hill. This temple is very quiet, and although it is on a hill, the path up is not steep and is easy to climb. There is a walkway that continues to the cliff. The temple was built in 1972 by Luang Pho Chamrat Thitijako (Inthrakhamhaeng), a wandering monk who passed through the Ka Ang Waterfall area and stayed at the current temple site. He saw the tranquility of the place and decided to establish it as a meditation site. Later, local villagers with faith helped to build it into a temple. Inside the temple, there is a vihara of Guan Yin in the blessing posture and an important Buddha image, Phra Buddha Chinnarat, which was built to honor His Majesty the King. It is believed to be the largest of its kind in Thailand. The Buddha image was later named Phra Sumpuddha Sakyamuni Lokanatha. The ordination hall of Wat Srikarang is located on the hilltop, about 385 meters from the temple (accessible by car), and offers a beautiful viewpoint. The ordination hall is a blend of Thai and Chinese architecture. The distinctive feature of the ordination hall is the door and window frames decorated with ancient bowls and dishes donated by villagers. Inside the ordination hall, there is a Buddha image in the posture of subduing Mara, with the name of the Supreme Patriarch (Yassa) inscribed. The Supreme Patriarch Phra Yannasangwon named the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall.

Nakhon Nayok is just around the corner. Today, I'm taking you all to visit Nakhon Nayok province. Suan Kaiwa is a private camping area located next to a stream that flows from Ka Ang Waterfall, where you can swim. The area is divided into open spaces for tourists to set up their tents, either by the stream or on the hill. The accommodation provides restrooms within the area, as well as shops and cafes. You can also park your car right at the camping spot.

The shop is almost a wooden hut, but there is quite a lot of seating space. Customers come in continuously. You can drive in and park in the dirt lot next to the shop. The shop's menu has both a la carte dishes and pork noodles. We ordered both a la carte dishes and noodles to try. It turned out that everything was delicious. The pork tom yum noodle soup was very good. It was well seasoned and had all the ingredients. The price is friendly. The Bodhi tree or its roots covering the top are beautiful and full of charm, especially around the entrance to the Bodhi-covered chapel or the old ordination hall. It is believed to be the "doorway to good luck." Those who walk under the Bodhi cover and make a wish will have their wishes fulfilled and achieve success.

This post will take you to trek near Bangkok, but the view is guaranteed to be amazing. #Khao Hua Mok, Ban Na District, Nakhon Nayok Province The signature of this trail is a large rock that stands on the cliff, challenging the sun and wind. There is a small rock on top, looking like a hat, which is the origin of the name Khao Hua Mok. - Pin and park at #Ka Ang Water fall and start everything from here. - Ka Ang Waterfall is a community area with a stream flowing through it. There are shops, restaurants, and restrooms. In fact, there are many trails in this area. Trail runners call it #Chicken Feet Valley because there are 3 main routes in the shape of a chicken's foot. The route to Khao Hua Mok is one of the three routes. - The route to Khao Hua Mok is about 3.9 km long. From the Ka Ang Waterfall parking lot, ask the locals or look for the sign for the starting point of the Khao Hua Mok trail. The first part is a concrete road that walks through the community. Continued with dirt road (if you don't want to walk the first two sections, you can hire a car) and a forest path. - Climbing up the hill from the beginning, the last 1/4 of the way is steep, but it is not necessary to use climbing equipment. - The path is clear. Once you pass the community, there is shade all the way. There are signs and markers. - If you come during the rainy season, it is muddy and slippery. Some sections have to walk through water. - We walked up alone on a weekday morning. We only met one pair of tourists walking past. The view from the top is very beautiful. Khao Hua Mok is also amazing in its location. - On the side of the rock, there are ancient paintings that the Fine Arts Department has surveyed and found to be painted 1,500 - 3,500 years ago.
