Location: Mae Klang Luang Rice Terraces, Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai
Atmosphere: Rice terraces located on the roadside to Doi Inthanon, is a spot that tourists who drive past must capture this beautiful image. There are resorts and homestays for tourists to stay while visiting Doi Inthanon National Park, which we stayed here. However, it was November, so the rice fields were almost gone, leaving only golden grass.

Mae Klang Luang village
Mae Klang Luang village is one the place that you must visit if you interested in the livelihood of karen indigenous people. You can hike on Pha Dok Seaw then visit traditional coffee making and walk around the village. The food at Khun Pim restaurant is excellent. I spent almost 1 week here. You can visit tourist attraction nearby such as waterfall and nature trail. Overall, I enjoyed spending time here

Mae Klang Luang Rice Terraces
#tripdiscount
✨Mae Klang Luang Rice Terraces✨ This rice field is a conservation tourism center that is conveniently located near Chiang Mai city and has many activities to do. This rice field is located on a hill and is planted in a terraced manner. When the rice is about to be harvested, the rice stalks are bent down and the golden yellow leaves make you feel very free and relaxed. In addition, the community takes you to walk on the Pha Dok Siew nature study trail, where Pha Dok Siew waterfall was one of the filming locations for the 90s movie Rak Jang, starring Film and Paula. Another reason we came here is that when you start walking into the village, there is a coffee shop that still cooks in the old style. There is a weaving workshop, a wool weaving workshop, and a cafe. Here, you can stay at Mae Klang Luang's house. There are homestay beds and a wide area for tent camping.
📍Take a red car from Chiang Mai city and get off in front of Mae Chaem Temple. Then take a red songthaew to Doi Inthanon and get off at Mae Klang Luang. Or you can drive a car or motorcycle.

🤩 Fresh Strawberries, Honey and Karen Cigarettes
#wecreate
📍 Location:
Ban Mae Klang Luang,
Chom Thong District, Chiang Mai 50160, Thailand.
⭐️ Highlights:
Standing amidst hilly rice terraces, Ban Mae Klang Luang is located on the 3rd basinclevel of Doi Inthanon. It is a settlement region of Pga-gan Yaw, a Karenic tribe from Burma (Myanmar).
We arrived at Mae Klang Luang village as the endpoint of trekking the Pha Dok Siew nature trail. Here, you will be invited to sample the locally grown and freshly roasted coffee in 4 different flavours.
The villagers here are very welcoming and would occasionally request you to support their small businesses. You can buy an entire bucket of locally grown strawberries for $3 (IKR!), or a bottle of 1L Honey for $5. The Karen cigarettes are only 10 THB ($0.20) a piece!
💲 Avg Price: 500 THB, if you would like to buy the local produce.
👍 Rating: 10/10 for the entire village experience!
