I thought Thailand was beautiful enough! Until I went to Koh Lipe...
Koh Lipe: A Dream Guide to Thailand's Lesser-Known Islands
I thought I had seen all the beauty Thailand had to offer, until I set foot on Koh Lipe and was blown away. The jelly-like light blue sea is breathtakingly beautiful. Here is a five-day, four-night Koh Lipe guide to help you immerse yourself in this stunning island.
1. Travel Guide
Malaysia - Langkawi - Koh Lipe: Fly to Langkawi first, then take a 2-hour ferry to Koh Lipe. The ferry is air-conditioned, the ride is smooth and not prone to seasickness, and the immigration process is relatively quick.
Bangkok - Hat Yai - Koh Lipe: Fly from Bangkok to Hat Yai, then take a car and ferry combo for about 2 hours, followed by a 2-hour ferry ride to Koh Lipe. However, this route is prone to rough seas, so remember to bring seasickness medication.
Phuket - Koh Lipe: Depart from Rassada Pier in Phuket, take a 2.5-hour ferry to Koh Lanta, then take another 2.5-hour ferry to Koh Lipe.
2. Five-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Check into a hotel on Sunrise Beach, then take a stroll to Sunset Beach around 4 or 5 pm to watch the stunning sunset. Afterward, enjoy dinner by the sea, then head to Zodic Bar by 7 pm to enjoy a bonfire show and a drink by the sea.
Day 2: After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on a snorkeling trip. Choose Line B to visit eight islands, see red coral, and enjoy free photography services for just over 200 baht per person. In the evening, enjoy a clay pot hot pot, then relax with a Thai massage.
Day 3: Take a city walk along the seaside boardwalk at Pattaya Beach and take photos along the way. In the afternoon, kayak to the uninhabited island opposite and snorkel to explore the surrounding scenery. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a Muay Thai show on Pattaya Beach.
Day 4: For those who love fishing, spend a whole day fishing at sea. In the evening, enjoy a Thai massage at Irene Hotel, then watch the sunset and have a drink. If you're lucky, you might even see blue tears near Bulow Casa.
Day 5: In the morning, head to Sunrise Beach for a seaside Thai massage (reservation required), then take a boat to Adang Island for a hike, which costs 200 baht per person round-trip. In the evening, enjoy seafood on Walking Street to end your trip on a high note.
