Betong is one of the best places for solo travelers, and it's not too far from Malaysia, making it a convenient destination. The drive from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, takes about 5 hours, so it’s perfect for a short getaway.
On my trip to Betong, I had the chance to explore a few interesting places. The first stop was the Betong Clock Tower, located right in the center of the town. It’s an iconic landmark, and a great spot to start your exploration of the area.
Next, I headed to the Morning Market. As a solo traveler, I loved walking through the bustling market, filled with fresh produce, local snacks, and a glimpse into the daily life of the locals. The vibe was lively, and it was a nice way to experience the culture.
After the market, I visited Kasong Supermarket for some shopping. It’s a good place to pick up local products and souvenirs. As someone traveling alone, I enjoyed taking my time browsing the aisles and discovering new things.
Finally, I made my way to the Iconic Tunnel, another must-see in Betong. The tunnel is not only visually impressive but also a key part of the town’s history. Walking through it gave me a sense of the town’s charm and significance.
Betong was a wonderful place for solo travel, offering a mix of culture, shopping, and sightseeing, all within a short distance from Malaysia.
