Mae Ban Pong Shrine, an ancient shrine that has been with the city for a long time.
The Shrine of the Mother of Pong is an old shrine located on the banks of the Mae Klong River. Inside the shrine is the statue of Mazu (Ah Ma), a deity highly revered by the people of Pong. According to legend, Mazu was brought from Phu Chang Ji District, Fujian Province, China, by boat to the Mae Klong River. Originally, a Chinese person brought her to worship at his house. Later, when he became old, he built a wooden shrine for Mazu to sit on the banks of the Mae Klong River so that people could come and worship her.
