📍Travel Overview This is a 2-day, 1-night trip from Vientiane, Laos to Chiang Khan, Thailand! 🚩Route There are two routes to get from Vientiane to Chiang Khan: crossing the Friendship Bridge to Nong Khai and then heading to Chiang Khan, or traveling within Laos to Sanakhan and crossing the Mekong River directly to Chiang Khan. This time, I took the Laos domestic route. 🚇Transportation There’s only one bus departing for Sanakhan at 8 AM. Otherwise, you’ll need to travel to a nearby town and take a taxi to Sanakhan, which was honestly quite challenging! Next time, I’ll go via Nong Khai! For getting around Chiang Khan, I recommend renting a motorbike. You can rent one for 250 baht per day! 📷Recommended Photo Spots The town of Chiang Khan itself has a nostalgic charm, and every corner is picturesque!
