The Monument of the Heroes of Bang Rachan Camp ❤️🌻🏞️
It is a sculpture of the 11 leaders of the Bang Rachan Camp, consisting of Mr. Chan Nuat Khiao, Mr. Choti, Mr. Dok, Mr. Thong Kaew, Mr. Thong Men, Mr. Thong Saeng Yai, Mr. Taen, Mr. Muang, Phan Rueang, Khun San, and Mr. In. It was built by the Fine Arts Department. It is located in the middle of a shady garden to commemorate the heroes of Bang Rachan who were brave and sacrificed in joining forces to fight against the Burmese army that invaded Bang Rachan village 8 times, taking more than 5 months to win.
In the park, there are the Monument of the Heroes, a model of the camp that was rebuilt in the ancient style, and a building of the Historical Education Center. The exhibition is divided into 4 main sections:
The first room, Biography of the Heroes of Bang Rachan, displays a model of Bang Rachan Camp, including details of the Burmese march route, as well as tactics for dealing with the Burmese soldiers. In the center of the room, there are models and biographies of important heroes of Bang Rachan, such as Phra Ajahn Thammachot, Mr. Taen, Mr. Thong Men, Mr. Chan Nuat Khiao, records and details. Important events in the 8 battles, the innermost part of the room displays ancient weapons and tools, such as four-handled jars, kettles, chiseling axes, throwing axes, etc.
