Because the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat believe that bringing a cloth up to the Phra That will make the wish or vow come true. It's called a good omen. If it doesn't work out through trickery, we have to make a vow. I had business at Central Nakhon Si Thammarat, so I walked around to see which restaurants were interesting. Then I came across a Korean restaurant called Hanguk with a promotion in front of the shop that tempted me to try it because I was eating alone. Since I was eating alone, I ordered the promotion set, which was stir-fried chicken with Dak Gal Bi sauce and 2 pieces of Hae Mul Pajeon, served with rice and 3 Korean-style side dishes. If I were to describe it as Thai food, it's like a mini oyster omelet with mussels, shrimp, and squid all in one piece. The dipping sauce is also quite delicious. I was full and then I read other reviews on Google Maps. They said that the owner is Korean and opened a restaurant here. Most of the dishes are cooked by the owner himself and he also imports ingredients from Korea to use at the restaurant. However, when I went to pay, I asked the staff again. The staff said that the owner had gone back to Korea to do some business. The food was cooked by the staff, so I missed out on trying the real owner's cooking. (But I didn't know when I was eating because the taste was still good.) In front of the restaurant, there were free magazines and free brochures recommending Korean tourism. I personally think that when foreigners open restaurants abroad, especially in Korea, they always act as PR representatives for their own country.
