2025 Interlaken District Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in April)

I visited Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, and Grindelwald in Switzerland in March this year! Switzerland was my first time traveling abroad and traveling alone, so I was very nervous. I think the biggest obstacles when traveling abroad are probably the language, transportation, and security. So I'd like to talk about those three in my own words! First, about the language. In Switzerland, Swiss German and German are mainly used, but I can't speak German, let alone English lol, so I basically used a translator, but it was a breeze! Everyone was generally polite, and when they wanted to communicate something, they spoke slowly and in simple English, which was very helpful! Next, about transportation. In Switzerland, if you buy the "Swiss Travel Pass" in advance, you can ride basic trains and buses as much as you want during your trip! As an exception, mountain trains and ropeways are half price, so it costs a little. However, it's really easy because you don't have to buy tickets every time! Lastly, about security. I don't remember being scared of security in the Bernese Oberland area that I visited! On the contrary, I remember him being very kind, helping me when I didn't know how to get a ticket for the ropeway! There were no homeless people and the city was clean with no graffiti or trash! #100 Ways to Travel Jungfraujoch is known as the Top of Europe and is 4158m high. How to reach Jungfraujoch? 1. Go to Grindelwald terminal first, buy Jungfrau climbing ticket and then take the cable car to Egg station 2. After arriving at Egg Station, transfer to the Jungfrau Mountain Train to climb the Jungfrau. You will climb up quickly on the way and you may have altitude sickness. Remember to take medicine first👌👌 When you reach Jungfraujoch, your head will really hurt, but it happened to be snowing on the top of the mountain so some viewing platforms were closed. It was really cold outside, about -13 degrees Celsius, but the scenery was like overlooking the whole of Europe and standing above Europe. After the end, we arrived at the second famous point of this trip, the Jungfrau Ice Cave. Everything from the floor to the decorations were made of ice, which was very interesting (⛔️⛔️The floor is very slippery, so you have to hold on tightly, not with ice⛔️⛔️) After finishing your trip to Jungfraujoch, you can go to Egger Station to play in the snow and drink coffee for the whole afternoon, then go to Grindelwald to buy dinner in the evening and take some photos of the night view of Grindelwald on the way back to the hotel. 🏡Grindelwald is an important relay station for Swiss tourism. The train departing from here 🚞 goes to Jungfraujoch via Kleine Scheidegg 🏔️, making it a must-stop for most tourists. In order to make it easier to climb up in the morning, we stayed near the station. When we opened the window of the B&B, we could see the Eiger coming towards us. No matter how much money we spent, it was worth it❤️ 🏡This place like a fairy tale town is a warm green valley, backed by the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn. It is full of peace, warmth and tranquility. The afternoon sun shines down, it’s too beautiful to be true, I don’t want to stop with my camera in hand📷 🏡We rode our bicycles for a walk and took pictures. Don’t be too happy when going downhill. On the way back, we ran out of energy and climbed uphill. I was so tired that I cried. Fortunately, we passed by a truck🚚 and gave us a lift. Switzerland is filled with many breathtaking views of mountains, waterfall, what about lakes? There js a lake located at the north of the alps called Lake brienz where this is a picture worthy instagrammable spot fo many where the backdrop are the mountainous region where the Lake will have the reflection of those mountains. The lake offers a good clear swim(provided if u dare because of the cold even in the fall seasons), and also there are some water spot activities here like kayaking even. But what is amazing is the lush beauty of it, the mirror like reflection of the lake and the unforgettable views. beautiful scenery at 1pm in interlaken this was taken back in early december… was mesmerised by the beauty of Switz and would definitely return for a second time with friends and family. the journey to interlaken was 2hrs long from our hotel and we reached at about 10am. roamed around the city area and met alot of nice and friendly people there were also a few dogs along the way that caught our attention haha. this trip was memorable and the money spend on this trip was definitely worth it. hope to be back real soon and be greeted with much more interesting places around interlaken

Gleis3 is located near Interlaken West Station. In other words, it is good to visit before or after boarding the Lake Thun cruise.

#Overseas travel To visit First, you need to go to the gondola stop called Grindelwald BGF. From Grindelwald SBB Station, take bus number 121, 122, 123 and just go two stops. If you don't have a First admission ticket, you need to buy one (68 francs round trip, 52 francs with Dongshin Shipping discount coupon), but if you have a Jungfrau VIP ticket, you can enter directly with the Jungfrau VIP ticket. First activities can be purchased at each stop.

#Overseas travel 📌Review of Lake Brienz cruise The difference between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun that I felt is Lake Brienz has a village lined up at the bottom of the mountain. Lake Thun has houses all over the mountain, and the village right below the mountain is large, so it felt like the mountains and houses were more in harmony. That's why I liked Lake Thun better. Take Lake Brienz, transfer to a train at Brienz Station, and return to Interlaken.

Our recent winter trip to Switzerland was an absolute dream come true! Traveling with three kids, we were determined to experience all the beauty this country has to offer, and let me tell you – Switzerland did not disappoint. We began our journey in Lucerne, a charming city that took our breath away with its stunning lake views and picturesque streets. The kids loved exploring the historic old town and walking along the iconic Chapel Bridge, while we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and scenic landscapes. Next, we ventured to Lauterbrunnen, a place straight out of a fairytale. Surrounded by towering waterfalls and nestled in the Swiss Alps, Lauterbrunnen felt magical. The snow-covered village was incredibly peaceful, and the kids were thrilled by the winter wonderland atmosphere. From Lauterbrunnen, we took a short trip to the car-free mountain village of Murren, which offered some of the most spectacular panoramic views we’ve ever seen. The kids enjoyed sledging and snowball fights, while we took in the stunning scenery of the surrounding mountains. One of the highlights of our trip was the journey to Mount Pilatus, where we took the world's steepest cogwheel railway. The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking – snow-capped peaks, crystal-clear skies, and a view of Lake Lucerne that left us speechless. It was definitely a must-see for anyone visiting Switzerland in winter. Another highlight was Lake Blausee, with its ethereal, blue waters surrounded by snowy forests. It felt like something out of a winter postcard. The peaceful surroundings and the hike around the lake were a hit with the whole family, and the kids couldn’t get enough of the serene beauty of the area. Oeschinensee was another unforgettable stop on our journey. This pristine lake is tucked away in the mountains, and we took a cable car ride up to witness its stunning beauty. The frozen lake, snow-covered trees, and the dramatic mountains in the background made for some incredible family photos. No visit to Switzerland would be complete without a stop in Grindelwald, a charming village nestled at the foot of the Eiger mountain. The kids had a blast exploring the sledging runs and playing in the snow, while we enjoyed the cozy alpine atmosphere and the gorgeous views of the surrounding peaks. The highlight of the entire trip had to be Zermatt, home to the iconic Matterhorn. We had a chance to ride the Gornergrat Railway, which offered awe-inspiring views of the Matterhorn, and the kids were just in awe of the snow-covered village. Zermatt’s charm is unmatched, and the trip to see the Matterhorn up close was unforgettable. Finally, we wrapped up our adventure in Zurich, a city that beautifully blends history with modernity. The Christmas markets, festive lights, and snowy streets made Zurich the perfect place to end our trip. We explored the old town, took a stroll along the lake, and enjoyed some delicious Swiss chocolate – a sweet ending to
