#Bangkok Itinerary
Bangkok, Thailand is a world-famous tourist resort city. Every day, thousands of tourists come to Bangkok for sightseeing and vacation. The Chao Phraya River is the mother river of Bangkok and even the whole of Thailand. There are many scenic spots, historical sites, business districts and shopping malls along the Chao Phraya River. This time I will introduce a one-day tour of the Chao Phraya Riverside historic sites, temples, mosques, churches and shopping malls near the old city's Chinatown. All attractions are free and no tickets are required.
The entire journey: first take public transportation or a taxi to Bangkok General Post Office ไปรษณีย์กลาง station. After getting off the bus, walk forward and enter the first attraction: the royal ancient pier temple on the Chao Phraya River: Wat Muang Khae วัดม่วงแค. The temple was built hundreds of years ago during the Ayutthaya period and is a royal temple. The temple attractions are located along the river, and there is also a cruise ship pier. You can enjoy the spectacular view of the Chao Phraya River and the exquisite buildings on the opposite bank from the temple. The temple is a great place to take photos and films. After visiting the temple, walk forward 300 meters and enter the second attraction: the century-old garden mosque: Masjid Haroon มัสยิดฮารูณ บางรัก. The mosque was built during the reign of Rama III and has a history of a hundred years. The biggest feature of the mosque is the four ancient sarcophagi and a miniature garden. The garden is planted with many tropical green plants and flowers, which is lush and green and suitable for checking in and taking photos. After visiting the mosque, walk another 500 meters forward and you will reach the famous church building attraction on the Chao Phraya River: The Church of the Assumption of Our Lady (อาสนวิหารอัสสัมชัญ). The church was built by the Portuguese more than a hundred years ago. It is one of the important historical architectural attractions on the Chao Phraya River and a landmark attraction. The church building is tall and majestic, and its exterior decoration structure is in European Gothic art style. It is exquisite and elegant, and it is definitely a great place to take pictures. After visiting the church, walk another 300 meters forward and you will find another ancient royal temple attraction: Wat Song Pu (Song Pu Temple). This is a centuries-old ancient temple built during the Ayutthaya period in the early Siamese dynasty. The temple's architectural style is white Siamese cultural art style, exquisite, elegant and simple. The photo taking 📸 is very good. The prayers in the temple are very effective, and local residents from the surrounding areas come here to pray. After visiting the temples, we finally came to the landmark shopping mall on the Chao Phraya River: Central Bangrak เซ็นทรัล บางรัก. The mall is located close to the BTS Skytrain station, and transportation is very convenient. There is a top supermarket, many food shops and restaurants of world chain catering brands in the mall. You can buy local Thai specialties and have a meal and rest here. The air conditioning in the mall is very cool. End of the day's journey.
