We were scrolling down the mall wondering what to eat and we came across Hitomi Shabu. The meaning of Hitomi means one person. This shabu shabu place was designed for customers who come alone. We had 2 people but we still managed to sit side by side with our individual shabu shabu pot / sukiyaki. I really enjoyed my shabu shabu pot as I ordered seafood broth with my very good quality beef. I have to mention the free matcha ice cream that comes with the combo set was sooooo good! It was very creamy, rich of matcha’s bitterness and with a shimmer of golden glitter. Or you can order just meat as a la carte. Today we ordered 2 sets. The first set we ordered the pork set with Hitori soup, which is the restaurant's special soup recipe or signature dish. It was very delicious. The second set we ordered the meat set with truffle tori paitan soup. Normally, we don't see any restaurants that have truffle soup, so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. And we ordered 2 more trays of meat as a la carte. The meat was super delicious, soft, and satisfying. It was worth the price. The side dishes of shellfish were very delicious. We liked it. As for the dipping sauce, we would like to give it to the sesame sauce, seasoned with chili oil and garlic.
