Bangkok | Famous Thai traditional snack shop, a snack stall recommended by Michelin for 4 years, handmade and delicious
Do you think Thailand only has mango sticky rice? wrong! Khanom Buang, a Thai crispy cookie that even Bangkok locals queue up for, is the real hidden delicacy king! I was accidentally attracted by the aroma at CentralWorld and discovered that this stall, which has been recommended by Michelin for 4 consecutive years, makes fresh and handmade food every day. It smells so good when you get close to it!
I ordered three different flavors and they were all amazing: the crust was crispy on the outside and the filling was rich and not too sweet, which made me want to keep eating!
Recommended reasons:
① The authentic Thai dim sum that locals also line up for is very fragrant
② Sweet but not greasy, crispy crust

Must-Stay Hotel in Thailand!
This time, I found a hotel accessible by both BTS and MRT, just a few minutes' walk from Asok Station. The decor has a unique style, and the rooms feel incredibly cozy. The surroundings are very quiet, and I had an amazing sleep for three nights straight!
Plus, the bar on the basement floor has an incredible atmosphere. From the red carpet leading downstairs to the seating details and live performances, everything is so captivating.
The rooftop pool isn't very large, but it's truly relaxing. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Thailand!
Bangkok | Songhua, pudding and tea, the taste of the old city
#AprilGoodDestinations2025
Walking into the Yaowarat alley in the old city of Bangkok, I unexpectedly found a small shop with a very atmospheric atmosphere, Songhua PUDDING & TEA. The two retro posters at the door were very eye-catching and I couldn't help but walk in.
We ordered a fragrant drink and a bowl of the signature "black sesame pudding". Its taste surprised me - it was not the traditional smooth pudding, but more like delicate tofu pudding, melting in the mouth with a slight sesame aroma.
The store owner said that this sesame paste is hand-ground every day, no wonder it tastes so rich. I really liked the sauce and couldn't help but ask the boss with a smile: "Can you give me some more sesame sauce?" Unexpectedly, the boss also smiled and said: "No problem!" His friendly attitude made me feel very good.
Although a bowl costs 100 baht, I think it is a good deal compared to the common prices in tourist areas. Both the flavor and the overall experience are satisfying. I recommend it to you if you are taking a walk in the old town of Bangkok. You will definitely not regret it if you stop by for a bowl of warm pudding and tea.
📍Songhua Pudding & Tea
🕰️ Located in Yaowarat – Plaengnam Alley
✨ Recommended: Black sesame pudding, osmanthus oolong tea
💰 About 100 THB / bowl

Bangkok|In the 40-degree heat, I found the Maohe Herbal Tea Shop that is loved by locals. It is refreshing and thirst-quenching and is good for health.
Walking on the hot streets of Bangkok, I happened to pass by this old-fashioned and low-key Maohe Herbal Tea Shop. The shop is simple and has no gorgeous decorations, but it attracts many locals to line up to enter. I know it must be great. I immediately followed my husband in to find some cool feeling.
The store is lined with large glass jars filled with a variety of Chinese herbal teas and herbal drinks. The owner skillfully poured us a cup of black herbal tea and chrysanthemum wolfberry tea. The taste was slightly bitter but sweet. After drinking it, the whole heat instantly dissipated and the body felt lighter.
The most interesting thing is that there are some old newspapers and herbal medicine effect descriptions on the wall of the store. Although there is no air conditioning in the space, the electric fan keeps blowing and makes people feel cool. I really like this authentic local old store.

Bangkok | A Stroll Through Song Wat | Local Charm and Simplicity
Walking through the streets of Song Wat, the blazing sun made me wonder if I was about to melt. Just then, I spotted a quaint little shop with a wooden sign and an open design that exuded a strong local Thai vibe. Without hesitation, we decided to step inside for a drink and escape the heat.
Though there was no air conditioning inside, the spacious area and the breeze from the fans made it surprisingly comfortable. My husband bought a refreshing drink and some pudding, and we found a seat—traditional bamboo chairs that were a bit firm but had their own unique charm.
I was particularly drawn to the wall decorations, which were made from Thai newspapers arranged like a collage. It felt casual yet creative, perfectly capturing the essence of local life. The counter also displayed several uniquely designed teapots that caught my eye; each seemed to have its own little story.
What makes places like this so captivating isn’t their sophistication but their authenticity. Genuine, unpretentious, and preserving the original essence, they offer a brief respite from the heat and bring you closer to the everyday life of the city.

#AprilGoodDestinations2025
If you only think about buying snacks or cosmetics when you come to Bangkok, you will miss out on a lot of treasures! This time when I walked into Jim Thompson's clothing store, I really felt what low-key luxury is.
The entire store is elegantly designed and meticulously decorated. Every piece of clothing, scarf, bag and even small accessory is as exquisite as a work of art. This is not just a store selling clothes, but more like a fashion exhibition about Thai silk.
I particularly like their silk dresses and shirts, which feel smooth and light, and the colors are rich and long-lasting. Bags are also one of the highlights. From mini clutches to large-capacity tote bags, there are a full range of styles. Each one combines Thai elements with modern design, so you will never run into the same bag as someone else when you go out.
The most thoughtful thing is that there are service staff on site who can speak Chinese, so there is no problem at all whether it is choosing size or understanding material, and shopping is super reassuring!
If you want to bring back a gift that is truly wearable, usable and memorable, I really recommend checking out Jim Thompson. This is not only a symbol of Bangkok fashion, but also a perfect example of integrating traditional Thai silk into modern life.
