HTMS Maeklong is the longest-serving warship in the Royal Thai Navy. After it was decommissioned, it was turned into a museum to serve as a learning resource for children and those interested in studying various historical stories.
Inside the ship, there are stories about the history of the ship. We can walk around the ship in areas that are permitted. There are working rooms, a kitchen, a dining room, bedrooms, and other rooms for soldiers to live on the ship.
The ship is parked in a military area. We can see the mouth of the river leading to the sea. The view outside is beautiful. There is a shady mangrove forest. The air is very fresh. There is also a restaurant nearby.
Location: HTMS Maeklong Museum
Laem Fa Pha Subdistrict, Phra Samut Chedi District, Samut Prakan Province
Free admission Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

#0yentravelnovember
A train running through a market!
When the train arrives, the market closes and reopens the moment it passes!
You can see an interesting sight✨
Maeklong Market in Thailand is famous as a tourist spot where stalls are crowded right up to the railroad tracks and tents are quickly folded up every time a train passes.
Maeklong Market is a market for locals in Samut Songkhram Province, about 70 km southwest of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
This market is held on both sides of the tracks just before Maeklong Station of the State Railway of Thailand, and is an impressive market where tents and goods are quickly put away every time eight trains pass by each day. Locals call it Talat Romhup, which means umbrella folding market.

I've arrived at the Royal Thai Navy Museum Mae Klong.
After a study trip at Phra Samut Chedi, we took the opportunity to visit here!!! HTMS Maeklong is the longest-serving warship in the navy and is a sister ship of HTMS Tachin. It has a history of service for 20 years until the Ministry of Defense considered that HTMS Maeklong was in a very dilapidated condition. It was not worthwhile to repair it for further service. Therefore, HTMS Maeklong was decommissioned on July 25, 1996, to be preserved as the HTMS Maeklong Museum. #VisitMuseum #HTMSMaeklong #SamutPrakan
