The first night, I stayed at the Heritage rail car suite, which is a real train car that was made into a bedroom. It is divided into 2 connected suites. The room is not very spacious. If anyone wants to sleep in the train atmosphere, come and try it. It feels like being in a real train car. If anyone is tall or doesn't like tight spaces, they may not be comfortable. When you get out of the train car, there is a large sofa and a bathtub at the back in case you want to sit and relax or soak in the water and enjoy the view. Intercontinental Khao Yai Resort Second trip of the year, no matter how many times you come, this time I tried staying in a Suite room, which is a real train car that has been converted into a guest room. For those who have never traveled by train or bring children to try sleeping here, it's a good change of atmosphere. The hotel provides free alms-giving sets on Saturday mornings. You can also walk or run around the lake, which is about 1.5 kilometers. It's just right. There are many colored swans to see and big fish. If you come for breakfast in the morning, the food is still delicious. There is Yakult, premium fruits, bouncy shrimp rice soup, and you can also order an omelet. The first time that pets are allowed to stay in the Heritage One Bed Room Suit of Intercontinental Khao Yai Resort. Previously, even though the hotel is pet-friendly, pets could only stay in the Classic room. Until September 1st, the hotel decided to add a room type for pets to stay in. The additional room is the hotel's starting suite room that we will stay in on the train car! The actual train car was brought and decorated to be our room. I must say that some of us got to stay in it first because we arrived on September 2nd to try to be the first home. However, this room may not be suitable for people who are claustrophobic because the train car is a bit narrow. And that's not all! They stuffed the furniture in, so it's a bit cramped. 😅 However, it still provides complete comfort for guests. The bed is still comfortable in the Intercontinental style. This has to be given to them. As for the outdoor area, at night there might be a lot of insects because it's a forest. However, you can call the housekeeper to light mosquito repellent and call for additional fans at any time. But if you encounter rain like me, I'll just move back inside to sit and play because the rain will definitely get you wet 😅 Come on, I recommend it. Another tourist destination that we often go to relax because it is not too far from Bangkok is “Khao Yai”. But since we have a little daughter, Brownie, and we don’t want to leave her at home feeling lonely, we had to find a hotel where Mommy and I could relax together. And the result is this place. Intercontinental Khaoyai Resort A 6-star pet-friendly hotel in Khao Yai. But here, there is only one room type that allows pets to stay, which is the King Classic room type, which is the starting room here. But wow, even though it is the starting room, it has complete facilities for us, even the room design makes us feel like we are sleeping in a train carriage! And what I love most about the Intercontinental chain is the soul-sucking mattress. Just lie down and you are ready to fall asleep immediately! 5555 It is soft and comfortable, just the right amount of fluffy, not too soft, but not too hard to hurt. It is really comfortable to sleep on. The thing you love (besides me, wooow!) is the amenities here. Soaps, shampoos, lotions, Brydo is provided for you to use, they smell great. The sleeper and bathrobe are also thick and soft! Let's talk about the landscape. The landscape here is very beautiful. It's like a forest. So of course you have to walk quite a distance from one point to another. But don't worry because they have a golf cart service. Of course, lazy people like me will take the golf cart. This design uses the theme of the 5th era train mixed with modern Western style, creating a beautiful and interesting detail in many areas, especially the interior design of the rooms that provide an atmosphere like sleeping on a train. The Suite and Villa rooms are located on the newly built train cars, providing privacy and a new experience as if traveling by a long-distance train amidst the peaceful and beautiful nature. When arriving at the resort, you will encounter the "Khao Yai Station," a building designed like an old train station, which is the resort's lobby. Inside, it is divided into two parts, the check-in counter area and the station master's room, which has a bunk bed and a sitting area for us to take pictures while waiting. There are a total of 45 rooms in this resort, including Classic and Suite rooms, spread over three buildings, and the train car section, which will be located deep inside the resort, is a Suite and Pool Villa room type. Although they are the same room type, the interior design of each room will differ in color and style. We stayed here for 2 nights in a 1 King Classic Lake View room, which is located on the building. The highlight of this room is the full view of the lake that can be seen from the balcony. The interior is decorated like sleeping on a train, and the hotel amenities use the Byredo brand, which is the same as other Intercontinental hotels in Thailand. The room is well-proportioned, with a compact bathroom design like on a train and a walk-in closet with space to hang clothes and place luggage. Inside the resort, there are a total of 4 restaurants, starting with the Tea Carriage, a beautiful and classic tea room on a train, serving an Afternoon Tea set and a variety of drinks. Somying's Kitchen is a buffet breakfast restaurant and all-day dining restaurant that offers both Thai and international cuisine. Poirot is a French restaurant on a train in the atmosphere of the first-class train of the Oriental Express, serving formal French dining. Papillon Bar is a stylish bar serving signature drinks of the resort in a chill atmosphere on a classic train car. All of these restaurants are open to outside guests, but it is recommended to book a table in advance. If you are looking for a place to relax for an upcoming holiday, Intercontinental Khao Yai is another great option that can meet your needs well.
