Great value Thai hot pot dinner: a hidden gem next to Chulalongkorn University
The shop is located on the snack street behind Chulalongkorn University and is very easy to find. We arrived at lunchtime and got a number plate for table 5. We waited for about half an hour before we got a seat. While waiting, the waiter was very considerate and told us that we could look at the menu first and write down the dishes we wanted to order, and just mark the English and numerical codes in front of the dishes, which was very convenient.
The space of this shop is not large, but it is divided into several floors. There is no air conditioning on the first floor, and it is hot to sit on the roadside, but there is air conditioning upstairs, and the environment is relatively comfortable. There are many set meals to choose from in the store. Set C is particularly cost-effective. We ordered a variety of ingredients including pork, chicken, beef, offal, seafood, etc., with a large plate of vegetables, and the price was only 250 baht! This price is really super cheap and the portion is also very large. Finally, we also ordered a vermicelli soup. The soup base is very delicious. I felt that it was not enough after drinking several bowls.
Their dipping sauce is particularly delicious, and the sour and sweet Thai hot and sour sauce is completely in line with our taste, adding a lot of flavor to the whole dish.
Other recommended dishes include: grilled pork neck (very tender), fried pork intestines (crispy on the outside and tender on the inside), spicy shrimp, butter-grilled scallops, and 99 cold seafood vermicelli, all of which are worth a try.

The shop is located on the snack street behind Chulalongkorn University, making it very easy to find. We arrived during peak dining hours and were given a number for table 5. After about half an hour of waiting, we were seated. During the wait, the staff kindly informed us that we could check out the menu and write down our order by marking the dish names with their corresponding English numbers, which was very convenient.
The space is not large, but it is spread across multiple floors. The first floor has no air conditioning, and seating is by the roadside, which can get a bit warm. However, the upper floors are air-conditioned, providing a more comfortable dining experience. They offer a variety of set menus, and we opted for Set C, which includes a mix of pork, chicken, beef, offals, and seafood, along with a large plate of vegetables—all for just 250 THB! The price is incredibly affordable, and the portions are generous. We also had a big bowl of hot soup with vermicelli, which was delicious—we ended up having several bowls!
Their dipping sauce is fantastic—sweet and sour, with a perfect balance that gives a very authentic Thai flavor, which matched perfectly with the dishes.
