Chiang Mai Food: Northern Thai Curry Noodles Recommended by Michelin Bib Gourmand
Grilled Sanniman Northern Thai Curry Noodles
Kao Soy Nimman is a popular restaurant in Chiang Mai recommended by Michelin Guide, and is also Teresa Teng’s favorite restaurant. It specializes in curry noodles, a traditional dish from northern Thailand. Since it is a famous restaurant with long queues, the price is naturally more expensive.
The soup of the curry noodles is very rich. The crispy fried noodles, noodles soaked in the soup, and the slightly spicy taste of the curry are very rich. I ordered a large bowl, which is basically a large combination of chicken legs, barbecued pork, beef, shrimps, and small rolls. It is quite visually impressive.
I also ordered fried chicken, which tasted a bit like the crispy fried chicken breast from Ayi Fried Chicken Shop in the Xizhi Dusk Market. The meat was juicy but not spicy. For dessert, we had colorful molded dregs, lots of ice cubes, and sweet coconut milk. It was really refreshing!
Avoid meal times, go early or late, basically you don’t have to queue, you can experience it, after all, it is blessed by Michelin Bib Gourmand and Teresa Teng, it’s worth it!
