Khao Chang Phueak, Kanchanaburi Province, 2 days 1 night
#Hiking Trip
Khao Chang Phueak is located in Pilok Subdistrict, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province. It is a popular tourist attraction in Thailand. It is located in Thong Pha Phum National Park, 8 kilometers away, 1,249 meters high, and takes 4-6 hours to walk. Most of the path is open forest and beautiful mountain views. At the top, there is a famous viewpoint called "San Khom Mit". The narrow path in exchange for a 360° view in the evening is worth coming to experience. We like the sunset, alternating orange, red, and yellow light, along with the mountain view. It heals the heart very well.
When we reach the top of the mountain, prepare our things and find a place to set up a tent. Relax comfortably. At 16:00, the officer will call the group to gather for the viewpoint on top of Khao Chang Phueak. Walk through San Khom Mit, a thrilling point that is a highlight for tourists.
Booking process
We will use the example of 2024. Booking will start from October 30, 2024 - November 3, 2024. It is a new booking. By filling in information via Google Form (only), the number is set at 60 people per day. You can book **not more than 1 person at a time**. When the round is complete, the officer will announce the list on the 'Thong Pha Phum National Park' page or contact 034-510979 and 098-2520359.
Travel
We are in Krabi. We started by taking the Surat Thani - Bangkok train (the flight ticket is expensive) and a friend picked us up in Bangkok. We traveled together until we reached the Pom Pi viewpoint (we went to San Nok Wua next and will review it later).
A rough travel plan for friends who don't have a car or friends.
Starting from Bangkok (Mo Chit) > Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal, red songthaew, van > Thong Pha Phum Market, yellow songthaew > Pilok, E Tong (tell the driver to stop and register at the park first so you don't have to go back and forth from E Tong to Pilok because the starting point is behind the village. It is a meeting point.
When leaving E Tong, if you travel by yourself, you should have one night to stay because the buses are probably finished. Or on the way back, you can ask the driver in advance.
