James Bond Island, or Ko Tapu, is a 20 meter-high limestone tower karst located in Ao Phang Nga Bay National Park. It was a filming location for the 1974 film “The Man with the Golden Gun” as well as the 1997 film “Tomorrow Never Dies”, leading many people to call it “James Bond Island”. The original name of the island is Ko Tapu, meaning “nail” or “spike”, is fitting as it stands upright in the sea like a nail.
