Bangkok Solo Trip in a Flash|City Tour in Just 3 Days
Southeast Asia is often my go-to destination for short holidays, and even though my trip to Bangkok was a bit rushed, I found that three days were more than enough to enjoy the city☺️
For those who are short on time but still want to explore, here’s my recommended itinerary based on my actual experience📝
⭐︎Day 1⭐︎
If you arrive in the afternoon, drop off your luggage at the hotel and head to Wat Arun for a sunset view🌇
📍158 Thanon Wang Doem, Wat Arun, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok 10600
🚶♀️From Sanam Chai Station on the opposite side of the river, walk about 10 minutes to find some Instagram-worthy spots.
Afterward, indulge in some Thai cuisine. I recommend "Taling Pling," a famous curry restaurant. While it’s a bit pricey, the interior is very clean, and the casual yet refined atmosphere makes it perfect for first-time visitors to Thailand. Their Massaman curry was the best I’ve ever had in my life🍛
📍653 Bld. 7, Bann Silom Arcade, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand
🚶♀️About a 10-minute walk from Saint Louis Station
Since you might be tired from the flight, you can either rest at the hotel or explore Bangkok’s vibrant nightlife👍
⭐︎Day 2⭐︎
Start your day early at Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, a classic Bangkok photo spot. It’s best to visit in the morning to avoid the crowds and take your time with photos😂
📍300, Ratchamongkhon Prasat Alley, Pak Khlong Phasi Charoen, Phasi Charoen, Bangkok 10160
🚶♀️About a 10-minute walk from Bang Phai Station
Next, visit Bangkok’s three major Buddhist landmarks:
📍Wat Phra Kaew
📍Wat Pho
📍Wat Arun
Traveling by boat from Wat Pho to Wat Arun is highly recommended! It’s super affordable and takes only about 5 minutes, making it both cost-effective and time-efficient👍
For lunch, try "Kwang Heng," also known as the Green Chicken Rice. Right next door is the Pink Chicken Rice shop, but I recommend the green one.
📍930 Phetchaburi Rd, Makkasan, Phaya Thai, Bangkok 10400, Thailand
🚶♀️About a 15-minute walk from Chit Lom Station
⭐︎Day 3⭐︎
Start your morning with a stroll or breakfast at a nearby street food stall🍽️. Bangkok can get scorching hot during the day, but mornings are cool and perfect for a walk☀️. After checking out of your hotel, I recommend getting a Thai massage before your flight💆♀️. Foot massages, in particular, are great for relieving fatigue and ensuring you’re refreshed for your journey home🦶.
For souvenirs, visit a large supermarket like BIG C. Thai cooking kits are compact and easy to bring back, and they’re always a hit with friends and family😊.
I hope this inspires someone to consider a quick trip to Bangkok☺️
