⛺🌿 Khao Yai trip, camping edition, chilling out by myself for 2 days

📍 Highlights of this trip:
• Set up a tent in the middle of nature 🏕
• Go hiking and see beautiful waterfalls 🌳🌊
• Drive / ride a motorcycle for fun 🚗🏍
• Watch wildlife at night 🦌
🚗 Travel from Bangkok to Khao Yai
1. 🚆 Train + Transfer:
• Take a train from Hua Lamphong / Bang Sue to Pak Chong (takes 3-4 hours)
• Take a songthaew / motorcycle taxi Go to Khao Yai checkpoint
2. 🚌 Van / Bus:
• Take a van from Mo Chit / Victory Monument to Pak Chong (takes 3 hours)
• Then take a songthaew / rental car into the park
3. 🚗 Drive yourself:
• Take Mittraphap Road to Pak Chong and enter Khao Yai National Park
• Park entrance fee is 40 baht per person / 50 baht for a car
🌿 Day 1: Climb the mountain - set up a tent - hike
🚗 Line:
• Enter the park to Lam Takhong tent site (book in advance via the National Park Department website)
• Rent a tent for 150 baht / night or bring your own
• Walk around the tent site, the atmosphere is very shady 🌳
🥾 Afternoon:
• Hike to Pha Kluai Mai Waterfall (3 km round trip) 🌊
• Stop by Haew Suwat Waterfall (Famous waterfall from The Beach movie)
🌅 Evening:
• Return to the camping ground, cook some simple food 🍲
• Wait to watch the sunset ⛅
🌙 Night:
• Go out to see wildlife at wildlife viewing points (some nights you may encounter wild elephants 🐘)
• Return to the tent to rest 🏕
🌄 Day 2: See the morning view – travel back
☀️ Morning:
• Wake up to cool breeze Sip coffee next to the tent ☕
• Walk up to Pha Dao Dai Viewpoint, take beautiful photos 📸
🚗 Line:
• Pack up, leave the tent site
• Stop at the 30th kilometer viewpoint for a spectacular view
🍽 Afternoon:
• Stop at a cafe on the way back (recommended Birder’s Lodge or Yellow Submarine) ☕
🚗 Travel back to Bangkok
💡 Tips:
✅ You should book a tent site in advance (via the QueQ app)
✅ Bring a flashlight / camping equipment 🏕
✅ If the weather is cold, you should have a jacket
