Klong Phlu Waterfall is another interesting place to visit on Koh Chang. In addition to the beautiful natural forest that has been well preserved, it is also a place where King Chulalongkorn visited twice. It is said that the original name of this waterfall should be "Klong Phu Waterfall" after the name of the mountain peak "Phu Pha Mek Sawan" in the same area, which sounds good with the characteristics of the waterfall that is both tall and large, has 3 levels, and has water flowing all year round.
✅ Facilities
From the intersection of the main road to the entrance of the national park, there are restaurants along the way. It is recommended to eat until you are full because once inside, food is not allowed. The distance is quite far, you have to walk and climb quite a long way. Add in the time spent playing in the water. You will definitely be hungry when you come out. In front near the ticket office, there is a general store that sells everything from sandals, souvenirs, T-shirts, etc. If you need anything, prepare it beforehand.
🏞 Walk to visit the waterfall
The walking distance to the waterfall is about 500 meters. You have to climb quite a bit. Some parts are slippery. There are rope barriers for safety in some areas. There are resting points for taking pictures and enjoying the view at intervals. The difficulty level of the path is such that for someone unfamiliar like us, we were covered in sweat. Using good walking shoes helps a lot. We made it to the highest level. However, some people who seem to be familiar with hiking and climbing waterfalls can climb up easily. As for the elderly, if you are not really fit, it will be difficult. The forest around the waterfall looks very shady and complete. Nature lovers should like it. As for the pools around the waterfall, you can swim, but you have to be careful because some parts are quite deep.
This is another tourist attraction for islanders who should visit and see all the elements of an island: a beach, a waterfall, and a lagoon that flows into the sea. If you visit Koh Chang, try stopping by.
