A delightful encounter at the must-stay Kimpton Maa-Lai Hotel in Bangkok
I made a special trip to Bangkok in July to experience the famous Kimpton Maa-Lai Hotel, a favorite among celebrities like Wang Jiaer and Jay Chou,
Located in the heart of Bangkok, it's close to the Siam shopping district, Lumphini Park, Erawan Shrine, and Chulalongkorn University, all very near!! Especially recommended for families with children (more on Lumphini in a later note, if you're a yoga enthusiast or have a little one, please make sure to visit)
Upon entering the hotel, one can immediately feel the exquisite and artistic atmosphere. Elegant and grand, every detail exudes class, with many paintings and art pieces displayed in the hotel corridors and on the walls, the entire hotel is surrounded by greenery, very pleasing to the eye and comfortable
The rooms are not surprising, feeling not big enough (perhaps because I booked the basic room type), but the layout is reasonable, and each room has one wall turned into floor-to-ceiling windows, with great light and overlooking city views. The beds are comfortable, I slept well every night, and the room facilities are also very good, with chocolate, snacks, and various drinks in the fridge, and they also deliver candy and fruit to the room periodically. The bathrobes are Japanese style, reportedly a co-branded item
The hotel's dining is outstanding. The dishes are very rich... with local specialties as well as cuisines from other countries, the staff will help you order with great care, and so far, I haven't had a dessert that wasn't delicious, I stayed for two days, and by the time I checked out, I still hadn't repeated a dish
The hotel's infinity pool (I forget which floor) is also worth experiencing. Surrounded by greenery, glittering in the sunlight, lounging by the pool and feeling the breeze is just too comfortable... all fatigue dissipates
The hotel's service is impeccable, Thailand has always been excellent in service, and this hotel's service is also top-notch, because the child would play house with the hotel's slippers, brushes, trays, etc., I found that after the hotel cleaned the room, they perfectly preserved the area where the child played house, every part was left in its original place, and they also brought more candies of different flavors, this point really deserves praise!
In short, worth a second visit!
