- The first place we visited is an ancient temple located in Mueang District. It was built since the Yonok Chiang Saen Kingdom before the establishment of Chiang Rai. This chedi is one of the 9 sacred chedis of the city. Inside the chedi is enshrined the relics of the Lord Buddha. Then stop to pay homage to #Sao Duedue Muang (Chiang Rai City Pillar), which is located in the temple grounds.

🔹Khao Kaeng Sukhothai

🔹Wat Phra That Doi Tung🏯
- Phra That Doi Tung.. is the chedi for people born in the year of the Pig (Kun) and is a famous chedi in Chiang Rai Province.
🔹Mae Fah Luang Arboretum🌹
- It is a garden that combines rare species of plants, especially the thousand-year-old rose 🥀 (Ridon Dendron) in many colors and species from many countries, both in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. 🔹Doi Pha Hee
-Ban Pha Hee has a swing or La Che, a traditional swing made to pay homage to ancestors. Another place we intended to visit .. The view here is very beautiful. Even though we did not encounter fog when we went up, it was beautiful with a clear sky and a very wide view.
🔹Doi Pha Mi
-From Doi Pha Hee down, we stopped to see the beautiful view on Doi Pha Mi and ordered a cool drink like a blended cocoa and taro milk tea at Kuma - Phu Kuma Cafe. The taste of the drinks is considered delicious and the price is not expensive.
🔹Kuay Chap Mae Ya 🍜
- There is not only Kuay Chap as the name of the shop says.. There are other menus to choose from here. We ordered roast pork with rice and Kuay jap to try for dinner before checking into our accommodation. 📌 Mae Yai Kuay jap restaurant is located opposite the Fah Thai Mae Fah Luang Market on Phahonyothin Road, Nang Lae Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District.

🔸 Wat Huai Plakang
- Located on a hill, it is prominent from afar. Inside the temple, there is a white chapel with a long naga staircase leading to the top of the chapel. There is the largest Guanyin statue in Thailand and “Phop Chok Tham Chedi”, a 9-story pagoda with a pointed shape and a red roof with dragon statues stretching on both sides of the stairs. Anyone visiting Chiang Rai should not miss the beauty of this temple.
