Koh Loi, Sriracha – a tourist attraction that combines
Koh Loi, Sriracha is a small island of approximately 3 rai, located only 500 meters from the coast of Sriracha District, Chonburi Province. It is easily accessible via a concrete bridge called “Chao Phraya Surasakmontri” that connects the shore to the island.
Despite its small size, Koh Loi has a variety of attractions and activities. One of its highlights is Wat Koh Loi Sri Maharaj, located on a small hilltop in the middle of the island. Visitors can climb about 70 steps to pay homage to “Luang Pho Than Jai” and enjoy the view of Sriracha City and Koh Sichang, which is not far away.
Another interesting point is the octagonal Chinese pavilion, which houses a 4-meter-high white jade Guanyin statue, which is highly revered by locals and tourists.
For those who love nature and marine life, you can visit the Sea Turtle Garden, a place to care for and conserve sea turtles that have been injured by fishermen’s nets.
In addition, Koh Loi is also one of the most beautiful sunset viewing points in Chonburi Province. Especially in the evening when the sky changes color and sunlight reflects on the sea surface.
For those who want to travel to Koh Sichang, you can take a boat at the pier on Koh Loi, which has a ferry service every 2 hours.
