There are large areas of cherry blossoms planted at the entrance of the park. March to April is a good season for everyone to come and enjoy the cherry blossoms🌸🌸. There are a lot of tourists during the cherry blossom season, but on weekdays there are fewer tourists and the environment is very quiet. You can hear the crows calling and see them flying in the sky. Maizuru Park is adjacent to Ohori Park and Fukuoka Art Museum. This area is full of rich cultural atmosphere and leisure atmosphere. Many citizens like to take a walk and rest here. You can even stop in the park after visiting the art gallery and enjoy a moment of tranquility. Japan's cherry blossom season is approaching, and it's the perfect time to visit Fukuoka for cherry blossom viewing! Compared to popular cities like Tokyo and Osaka, Fukuoka has relatively fewer crowds, making the cherry blossom viewing experience more relaxed and enjoyable. If you want to see cherry blossoms, Maizuru Park is definitely the best choice. The scenery is top-notch, and the best part is that the admission is free! However, during this visit, the cherry blossoms were not fully in bloom yet, which was a bit of a pity. Maizuru Park is a 15-minute walk from Tenjin and close to the nearest station, Ohori Park Station. The symbol of the park is the ruins of Fukuoka Castle, which is associated with Kuroda Kanbei. It is a famous spot for cherry blossoms in spring. Depending on the season, you can enjoy water lilies and lotus flowers on the waterside of Maizuru Park. When I visited (June 17, 2023), yellow water lilies were blooming. There are also lotus flowers in another moat, so you can probably see them from now on. Both water lilies and lotus flowers bloom in the morning, so if you go for a walk in the morning, you will be able to see beautiful flowers. The hydrangeas were in full bloom and were beautiful. Sakura at Maizuru Park, Fukuoka 🌸🌸🌸 A wide park for families, located in between Fukuoka Castle Ruins and Ohori Park. The park is less crowded during weekdays and some gardens closes at 5pm. I came to this park for 2 days as there is much to see including the vast Ohori park and the Castle ruins. There is a children’s playground and lots of parking spaces.
