New hotel in Rayong area from Accor Located at the end of Mae Phim Beach, right next to the sea, unlike other hotels in the same area that have a road in between. The hotel is not very big, but it is decorated to look spacious and shady with many big trees. The rooms are divided into villas near the swimming pool/beach and normal rooms in a three-story building at the back, but not far to walk (because the hotel is not big). The service is considered good according to the Accor name. Although the hotel is small, there are enough staff in every section. The room I stayed in this time was a small starting room that was decorated well and did not feel cramped at all. The idea was to divide the dry area of ​​the bathroom into a part of the bedroom. However, there is one thing to note: if you get a room on the outside, the view of the room will be the condo next door, making it inconvenient to open the curtains. The swimming pool here has a beautiful design (everyone comes to take pictures), but it is not very big. During festivals, it might be a bit crowded. Mercure Rayong Lomtalay Villas & Resort The hotel has 2 parts: the seaside side is located at the curve of Mae Phim Beach. There are 5 room types and 51 rooms. The non-seaside side has a road to Mae Phim Beach. They are quite far apart. They are in different parts. There are 3-4 more room types (but they are not finished and not open yet). At the moment, only about 30 rooms are open on the seaside side. The staff informed me. 🛏 Room: I booked the highest room type in the hotel and there are only 2 rooms: Room type “Executive villa with 1 king bed ocean view” Room 2106 and 2107 are close to the beach. But 2107 is hidden inside. You can see the sea in the distance. 2106 is closer to the pool and has a better view of the sea (I stayed in both rooms). Villa: It is divided into a living room with a sofa bed, a TV chair, and next to it is a king-size bed and an open bathroom. The bed and pillows are brand new and comfortable to sleep in. There are many plugs in the room. The air conditioner is very cool, but it is a bit noisy if you turn on the fan too hard. The decoration will focus on Minimal, light wood tones and white, comfortable to the eyes, comfortable to stay. And here I found newly opened hotel - Mercure Rayong Lomtalay Villa and Resort. Hotel was opened few months ago, but still not fully operated. But it’s more then enough facilities to enjoy your stay. Receptionists not so professional, on the time of checking in she just was over the phone with someone (maybe her duty also to reply the phone I don’t know). After that trying to speak with me in Thai, even holding my Hong Kong’s passport in the hands. Rooms are okay, but totally no any view. From the nice moments is the restaurant.
