#tripblazers #mountainescape #yangshuo With around 1000 stone steps (and a sneaky scramble under a railing), the trek to the top of moon hill is no easy feat, especially in the humidity of summer, but the view from the top of this natural phenomenon is well worth the walk. Situated in Yangshuo, moon hill has been long noted for its imposing beauty. Have a chat to the local women selling water whilst you are there!

Moon Hill is one of the iconic sites to visit in and around Yangshuo. Its a relatively easy climb to the top and rewards you with magnificent views of the area! The best way to get there is by hiring a bike or an ebike. Ive done both and would recommend ebike if it’s summer time - Yangshuo can get seriously hot so the quicker the better if you ask me! But in spring or autumn a push bike is the probably the more enjoyable way to get there. You need to pay a small fee at the ticket office based at the bottom of the hill and there are places to buy snakes there too. At the top there are 3 amazing older women who climb the hill every day with a box of drinks that you can buy. Have a chat with them if you can, they’re awesome!

A fun little day around Yangshuo. I first headed for Ruyi Peak which turned out to be a bit disappointing. The cablecar was fun but you couldn’t escape the sound of traffic. I had more fun at Moon Hill! It was very peaceful and quiet. I walked down the road and ended the day at Gold Water Cave. It had some great formations but was a pretty short tour.

There are many sites to photograph the famous Moon Hill from a distance, however, if you don't mind a hike, the view from the top is well worth it! Be prepared, it's not a long hike but it is very steep, so make sure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Cost: 12rmb for an adult

🍂 Finally, I arrived at the long-awaited [Yangshuo Gardenia]. Although the rice has been harvested, the scenery is still breathtaking! Each season has its own unique beauty. The empty rice fields have a special charm. The distant mountains, green grass, and the fragrant coffee in my hand form a stunning picture.🖼️ ☕️ Sitting on the ridge, with my feet gently stepping on the soft soil, the rustling sound of the breeze in my ears, and a steaming cup of coffee in my hand, time seems to stand still. The big pink rabbit and the green train "departing" from Yangshuo add to the tranquility and beauty, making me even more enchanted. The desserts here are exquisite, I ordered a small cake, chicken wings, and milk pudding. They seem to blend into the landscape painting. Yangshuo, you always bring me unexpected surprises!

It's fun and beautiful here, with a rooftop internet celebrity check-in point, a super large terrace, green mountains and rivers, and you can see hot air balloons rising. The hotel is in the village alley. Drive or take a taxi to Qinge Ferry Terminal. The hotel will send a car to pick you up. Day 1: Arrival and West Street Wonders 🏨 **The Adventure Begins at Emoji Youth Hostel:** Nestled in the heart of Yangshuo, the emoji-splashed doors of our hostel opened to a world of quaint charm and bustling streets. A perfect blend of comfort and culture (the hostel is also home to a couple of really cute cats 🐱) **Pedal Power:** Post-breakfast, we hopped on our trusty two-wheelers 🚲 for a cycle with a view along the 10 mile Galleria. **Culinary Delights:** Lunchtime had us savoring the famed beer fish, at a riverside retreat. 🎣 **Evening Extravaganza:** As dusk fell, West Street transformed. Lights, music, and laughter 🕺 From sizzling street food to eclectic eateries, our dinner was a feast, followed by drinks in a couple of the local bars 🍻 Day 2: Bamboo Rafts and Peaks **Serenity on the Yulong:** A morning mist hovered over the river as we embarked on a bamboo raft from Shuiedi. **Lunch and Legends:** Refueled with local delicacies, we embarked on a journey to the insta-famed Xianggong Mountain ⛰️ to capture a mountain-top view of the County 📸 **Sky bridges** In the afternoon we took the cablecar to Yangshuo’s famous scenic park where a number of rope bridges hang in the sky connecting footpaths on nearby mountains 🌁 Day 3: Countryside Charms and Sunset Serenades **Market Mornings and Moon Hill:** 🌙 The day began with a leisurely cycle to the iconic Moon Hill. A quick hike rewarded us with breathtaking views. **Ancient Villages** On our final day we spent the afternoon at Xing Ping Ancient Town to explore the markets. We also visited the site of where the imagine on the 20 Yuan note was captured by the river. **Dinner with a Local Twist:** Our evening was spent indulging in the countryside's culinary favourites again on West Street and exploring the local area. Everyone knows that 'Guilin's landscape is the best in the world, and Yangshuo's landscape is the best in Guilin.' This unremarkable little mountain village in Yangshuo, I must strongly recommend it. It is located next to the Gaotian service area of the Baomao Expressway G65 and belongs to Gaotian Town, Yangshuo County. At the end of the village, there is a reservoir with many clear water fish, the meat is tender and delicious. Downstream of the reservoir is a small stream, surrounded by karst hills, which are very photogenic! The village is rich in Shatian pomelo and sand sugar oranges, the villagers are simple, and it's okay to greet the villagers and pick some to eat. In winter, the plum blossoms and plum blossoms here bloom one after another, coupled with the backdrop of old houses, full of Chinese-style artistic conception, suitable for slow walking and slow shooting. About 10 kilometers away from the house, you will reach the famous tourist town of Yangshuo - Gaotian Town, where there are many famous attractions. #timetotravel A lot of steps to go up to the moonhill. It has become a famous landmark in Yangshuo and one of the most visited tourist attraction. When you hike up make sure that you have a pair of good hiking shows. Wear comfortable clothes and also bring a little backpac wherein you can put you towel and water bottle. The view from up there will give you a different view of yangshuo. It won't take you that long with only 800+ flights of stairs. It takes around 30-40 minutes to climb this hill. There are stairs till the top and a sightseeing platform at the top of the hill. It was rainy when we went there and even though it was a bit slippery we still were fine. The scenery from the top is great. After the bamboo boat rafting, riding forward, I came to the Moon Hill. Moon Mountain is a wonderland in Yangshuo, and it is also the end of the Shili Gallery. After reaching here, you can ride back all the way. Moon Mountain has a large hole running through the top of the mountain. It looks like a round of moon, high and bright and named. This natural large stone arch is connected on both sides. It seems like heaven and a moon hanging from a distance. From different angles, the shape of the hole is constantly changing. It will vary from the first quarter of the bend to the half-moon and then the full moon, and then changes again. It is a wonderful place to visit.
