The recommended way of visiting the park is to hire a tour boat in a group and decide both schedule and destinations. Entrance fees & opening times As of June 2022, the entrance fees are 200 Baht for foreigners (children 3-14 years pay 100 Baht) and 40 Baht (children 20 Baht) for Thai citizens. Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park is open 8 am to 4 pm every day. The national park is closed from 20th October to 20th December every year.

We went there and saw and felt the incredible beauty of the Angthong Marine Park, which has 42 islands. Ang Thong means "golden bassin". The way takes about 30-45 minutes depending on your condition and the amount of photos you take. I really recommend not wearing flip flops but at least decent sneakers since it’s quite a steep climb. Just like us, we were not prepared so we’re just wearing slippers. Be prepared also to get sweaty along the way since it gets super hot both from the inside and outside and bring water. It is a beautiful island of Koh Samui with a clean white sandy beach, suitable for swimming, relaxing and lounging on the beach. On the island, there is also Tham Buabok, a beautiful cave with stalactites and stalagmites shaped like a lotus. Koh Wua Talap is the central island and home to Ang Thong National Marine Park. On this island, there are also 4 viewpoints where you can climb up and experience the beauty around the island. At each point, you can see Ang Thong Islands from a different perspective. But the highlight that you shouldn't miss is the 4th viewpoint, "Pha Chan Charat Viewpoint", which is the highest point on this island. However, it may take some time and you have to be careful walking up to the point because the path is made of limestone and some parts require you to hold onto ropes and climb over sharp rocks. But I assure you that once you climb up, it will be worth it and you will definitely be tired. Spent a day at the Ang Thong Marine Park day tour. We got picked up from our hotel and transferred to the islands by a speed boat. It was not crowded at all but it rained after lunch and we had to take shelter. Wasnt the best day to visit the national park but it’s still a day well spent. The lunch was delicious and the tour is quite organized. I’m glad we took the speed boat as it was faster to go to the islands.

🫧This time, Aya booked a One Day Trip to Ang Thong Islands, which was a really good price when I went. 🤿The rough tour program that I remember is that the tour company will have a car pick you up to the pier at the appointment time, which is around 07:45. At 08:30, the staff will have you line up to check in and receive your travel tickets. At 09:00, we will take a boat straight to Ang Thong Islands (speed boat). If anyone gets seasick, prepare some motion sickness pills, it will help a lot. It takes about 1 hour to travel from Bang Rak Pier, Koh Samui to Ang Thong Islands. After that, we will go snorkeling in the inner sea. During the trip, we will stop to eat at Koh Ta Wua Lap. At 1:00 p.m., we will go on an adventure. There will be activities to choose from. If you don't want to walk up to the viewpoint, there will be kayaks for you to paddle around the bay.
