The hotel I’m writing about this time is MUU Bangkok Hotel, which is located in Thonglor, a wealthy area in Bangkok. It is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World and is located on Sukhumvit soi 55, the most lively Japanese street in Thonglor, which is a core location!
The hotel is connected to a shopping mall, which houses famous stores such as Pantry Magic, Din Tai Fung, PAUL depuis 1889, and a 24-hour Foodland. As soon as you step into the lobby, you can feel a little bit different from the feel, decoration, to the smell. It is fashionable but not clichéd, and the photo-taking effect is very good~
The check-in process was quick and the front desk staff also provided a welcome drink and ice towels. Even the design of the room card was very stylish with a photo. The background was actually the old look of Sukhumvit Soi 55, which was very thoughtful. We stayed in the smallest room type, Studio, which is about 37 square meters. The room is spacious yet luxurious with a simple design. The texture of the furniture is genuine, all made of high-quality materials.
Nick was very touched by the bed. First of all, there were cuddling pillows, normal pillows and giant pillows. According to experience, the bed was a seven-foot bed and he would fall asleep almost immediately when he lay on it every night. It is said that the bed sheets are made of expensive Egyptian cotton, and bathroom personal hygiene supplies, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, and even shaving cream are provided.
The breakfast restaurant is right next to the swimming pool. The indoor environment is comfortable. If you like, having a poolside breakfast is quite relaxing. The breakfast here is a buffet with A La Carte options. It means that you can get buffet food while ordering unlimited freshly made dishes. The A La Carte dishes are surprisingly exquisite and delicious!
Walking out from the breakfast restaurant is the swimming pool. The pool is definitely not big, but the environment and facilities combined make it really suitable for taking photos and checking in. The Studio room costs just over HK$1,000 per night including tax, which is very cost-effective by the standards of a five-star hotel!
