Going to Nagasaki to eat Nagasaki Champon. (Subtitle: Walking, wandering, eating, eating)
★ Preview one-line review ★
Even with the unfriendly map and wandering steps, art and Jjambbong did not betray me.
1. Tram and snowball fight as soon as I arrived
Nagasaki's famous streetcar (tram).
But... I have no idea where to get on and which direction to go.
I looked at the map like crazy, but I couldn't see the stop, so I ended up getting lost. ㅜ
👉 Tip: Nagasaki's trams are not operated by a number system, but rather by "direction/arrival station"
SanQ Pass not applicable! Separate on-site payment or local pass required
Since 'tram stops' don't appear on Google Maps, look for signs around the station first
2. Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum - Really well made. You should definitely go.
📍Address: 2-1 Dejimamachi, Nagasaki
#Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum
An art museum located on the seaside, the building itself is a work of art
The works of Dutch and Spanish artists + Japanese craftsmanship + Nagasaki local paintings were harmoniously composed.
The exhibition room with the ocean view through the glass is really healing, and the cafe inside is also very nice.
👉 The phrase “symbolizes hope” in the description of the work was impressive... but I don’t remember it well now (ㅎ)
👉 A place that will be much more satisfying than expected for those who like art
👉 Quiet and not many tourists, so it’s comfortable + a resting point
3. Nagasaki Castella – Don’t expect much and buy it at the airport
📍Bunmeido Main Store (文明堂 総本店)
1-1 Edomachi, Nagasaki #Bunmeido
“Castella! Castella!” So visit
The taste is just moist egg bread, and honestly, it's better to buy it at Fukuoka Airport Duty Free
If you really want to buy it, I recommend buying it at the airport duty free
4. Meganebashi (Glasses Bridge) - Look for the small heart stones
📍6-17 Hamamachi, Nagasaki #Meganebashi
As the name suggests, the structure of the reflection in the water under the bridge looks like 'glasses'
It's calm during the day, and the lights are prettier at night
There are many prop shops and delicious cafes around, so I recommend stopping by
If you're traveling as a couple, you should definitely stop by at night.
🍜 Nagasaki Champon - You have to eat this
📍Shianbashi Ramen
We went to a place with a lot of history near the ramen street.
You can choose between small and large sizes. The broth is rich and has a strong pork flavor
It's oilier and heavier than expected → If you like soup, you'll be satisfied, but if you like noodles, you might like it or not
📌Summary of a 1-day trip to Nagasaki
Transportation - The tram is ambiguous, but if you enjoy it slowly, it's delicious
Art - Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum is highly recommended, surprisingly satisfying
Restaurants - You must try the champon. Castella can be substituted for duty-free
Scenery - Meganebashi + the art museum waterfront is a photo zone
Atmosphere Overall, there are few tourists, it's clean, and quiet
