Nakhon Si Thammarat
Khao Luang National Park, Nakhon Si Thammarat, long-distance nature study trail, Noen Lom Fon - Yot Fam, 4 days, 3 nights, total distance approximately 30 kilometers, starting at Ai Khiao Waterfall, destination at Wang Lung Waterfall.
The weather is clear, occasional rain in the evening, no flash floods, daytime is not hot, nights are mostly cool, only one cold night, this period is still dry, there are few leeches, walking is comfortable.
The first day, waterfall camp, 6-7 kilometers, the first 1-2 kilometers are very hard, you can say that you climb from the first step, almost gave up and went home.
The second day, Noen Lom Fon camp, 6-7 kilometers, has a highlight at the view of the hilltop at +1,400 msl, a 360-degree view, seeing the sea all the way to Laem Talumphuk, and seeing almost every important destination of this mountain range. There is a view of the sunrise worth a million, the orange light reflecting off the sea is very beautiful.
The third day, going up to the top of Fa Mee at +1,640 msl, climbing two peaks, a distance of only a little over 1 kilometer, having to climb and crawl, then walk up and down to sleep at the Nhan Lam Phrao Waterfall camp. Today is a heavy day, the total distance is almost 10 kilometers.
The fourth day, we walked down and out through Wang Lung Waterfall, a distance of 6-7 kilometers.
It is a level 5 hiking trail, the highest according to the National Park Department's scale, but it is worth the effort. It is beautiful and fun, especially when you go with a group of like-minded friends.
