Ohachi, a charcoal grilled pork donburi restaurant. We went on Saturday evening. There weren't many people. The restaurant is located in the Sanan Napa project, Ari Soi 1. We went to eat on the 2nd floor. The table at the innermost side was a bit hot. 😅 Let me tell you first that the restaurant's menu only has charcoal grilled pork donburi! With a few side dishes. If anyone asks for other protein, there won't be any. There's only pure pork. 🐷🐷 We ordered both donburi (kindergarten) which was given a lot and grilled pork salad. The pork was still delicious as usual. There was a little bit of burnt and charred. 🐷Ohachi's charcoal-grilled pork rice bowl is huge! I must say, once you enter this restaurant, you'll be full, satisfied, and find it very worth it. Lots of rice🍚, with grilled pork overflowing the bowl🐷. The pork is grilled to a slight char, giving off a fragrant aroma. The meat is tender and juicy, with a sweet and salty sauce evenly coating each piece of pork. #dreamdestination The full name of Ohachi Butadon is Ohachi Sumiyaki Butadon. The word Sumiyaki means charcoal grilled, referring to the shop's only main menu, which is charcoal grilled pork rice. I personally ordered this shop via Line Man during the COVID period and thought it was delicious. When I got to eat it right after it was freshly made at the shop, it was even more delicious. I have to add more stars. ➡️ Pork They use thick pieces of fatty pork. The shop trims some of the pork fat, which keeps the pork soft but not too greasy. They grill pork dish by dish according to the order. You may have to wait a bit after ordering, but the pork is fragrant and grilled. The sauce is very tasty, salty and sweet, fragrant, and rich. I heard that the sauce has to be simmered for 4-5 hours. It's so delicious. ➡️ Rice The rice used is Koshihikari from Niigata Prefecture. The rice grains are soft and smooth when cooked. The texture is a little chewy when chewed. It's very delicious. Just eating it with kimchi alone is delicious, but eating it with fragrant grilled pork is even more delicious. We ate it until the last grain. For ordering, you can choose to separate the pork from the rice or have the pork placed on the rice, in true Donburi style. We like the latter more because we like the taste and aroma of the grilled pork juice mixed with the sauce to fully permeate the rice. This Donburi menu has 4 sizes to choose from, from smallest to largest: Kindergarten/Standard/Master/Doctor. We chose the Kindergarten size, which is the size that women can eat to fill up (if they are not very hungry). ➡️ Side dishes Side dishes here are not included with Butadon, so we have to order them separately. We ordered miso soup and kimchi, which helped enhance the flavor of the grilled pork and made it even more delicious. #Ari
